This case has been approved. On April 25, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.


Before it was approved it would have only said that the case has been received for processing on (the ND) and that it was taking between 150 and 180 days to process such a case.

The email from USCIS contains a facsimile of the "current status" message above.

My Case is approved

Hi All

I got 4 emails from USCIS & CRIS (2 from each) telling that my I-140 petition has been approved on April 28th. Surprisingly, the email came on Saturday morning @ 9:30 AM !

I-140 receipt : waiting
I-485 file date: waiting for I-140 receipt.

Has anybody filed i-140 after april 15th at Nebraska and received receipt ?

No Receipt Number Yet

My lawyer had filed my I-140 petition in the first week of April but still hasn't received the receipt # yet. Is this normal ?

"Due to an unusually large volume of receipts at the Service Centers during the first week of April, it is taking longer than expected for USCIS to enter cases into the system. Depending on the type of case and service requested, it may take nearly two weeks to generate and mail receipt notices. Once the receipt notice is generated, it may take an additional 2 to 3 days for customers to receive their receipt notices in the mail.

USCIS has taken measures to address this situation and expects to be current with its receipting by mid May."

Anyways, you can get your application number from the back of your check. Most of the banks have online scanned images of the cashed checks.

I received email from CIRS on Apr 29th. My I-140 wa approved on Apr 27th 2006.

How did you know that April 24th 2006 is File date with out getting notice ? I just want to know becoz my I/140 & I485 was sent to NSC in the last week. I am waiting for the notices.
