Any idea why I140 processing has become SLOW in Vermont? In the past 3 months they have moved only 10 days. With this rate, it will take forever to get I140 approvals.

Why dont we start a petition for BCIS to improve its processing speeds? I140 is more important than 485 for most of us. It gives us the freedom to change companies.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I agree that I-140 delays are more detrimental compared to 485 delays, if you take AC21 portability inyo account.
Starting a petition for I140 delays seems a good idea to me, if these petition works. The only concern I have is that I-140 is technically an employer petition.

12 votes?

I wonder how come we only got 12 votes. Possibility not many sufferers know about this.

I also wonder why there are only 12 votes. There is a petition being discussed in CSC forum about I-140 delays in California. Vermont is lagging further behind. It has been processing October 2002 for the last 3 months.

Why don't we also request Vermont Service Center to introduce premium processing of I-140 applications as they had promised 2 years ago?

Guys,

We need to vote more on this topic and request for some action to be taken on slow processing of I-140 petitions.

Don't you agree?

I think at least one of them specified the reason

I-140 is an employer's application. So our petition won't be heared or entertained.

Even if you try to inquire at Service Center, they won't entertain your query.

Its our fate that we are at VSC. All other service centers are pretty fast and consistent as well.

With this newest slow-down I think, they will soon have to update the time frame from 485 days to 600 days.

If we can just find out how do they operate i.e. in which sequence, we should be lucky and happy in the way that we will at least be able to guesstimate the approval date.

With Feb RD and early March ND, I was hoping to hear something at least in December. No such hopes anymore.

VSC has gone in holiday mood so we will have to wait till next holiday season before they can approve some more cases.

I still hope that they are continuing to approve people who don't use this forum - but I seriously doubt that.

I remember somebody posting VSC director e-mail address. I think we can keep on sending emotional e-mails with requests to expedite our cases - but that is all - nothing more can be done on I-140 cases legally by us.

On the other hand l was brwosing I-485 forum and saw an October 2002 case being approved at VSC.

What an irony! - some people are waiting for I-140 from period before that.

:D

I voted Yes for the petition.

I can't believe somebody voted "No" for this petition!!! He/she must have already got their I-140...how silly.

We will grow old waiting for I-140, 485 and the Green Card...:-( Can't take it any longer, first over 2 years for labor and now this horrendous wait here in I-140/485. Sometimes I wonder how much we poor law abiding, well educated individuals who contribute so much to the US economy have to suffer, while the illegals who don't even pay taxes are getting their green cards. Sheer nonsensical policy of the BCIS and the current administration. Mr. Bush can you please show us light at the end of tunnel?
