I 140 delays in Vermont

Is I-140 petition more important than I-485 petition?

I agree. We can include I-140 processing in the current I-485 petition and submit a united front. The focus should be on how AC-21 is rendered useless by the slow processing times.

Will the people who have 140 cleared agree?

Why won't they agree? And if they don't screw them! It is not that essential to have everyone in the same boat as long everyone is fighting the same fight.

Reducing backlogs is what is a priority here and NOT AC21. If backlogs are gone, then AC21 is a moot issue. AC21 was a stop gap to deal with the inordinary delays in 485 processing.

Though, when we submit suggestions to Congress and INS, for ways to ease the immigration community's problems, then we could include the suggestion that AC21 should be expanded to include 140 applicants, since the backlog is affecting them just as badly and thanks to the simultanious processing of 140's and 485's regardless of the fact that the 140 is approved or not, as long as the applicant has been waiting in the queue for 6 months, he/she should be covered by all the provisions of the AC21 law!

AC21 and job change problems are already highlighted in the I485 petition. So lets not argue about it.

So far the number of votes are quite unimpressive. That might be a problem.
About 200 I140's are filed working day.
Its surprising that we have such small number of people voting for this issue.

To get started on the Petition, I suggest someone here take charge, contact Rajiv or someone from his office, and discuss this issue with him/them. They will be the best people to guide us in this regard. Either with an amended 485 petition or new 140 petition.

Either ways, I will sign them both. And fax it to where ever you guys think it appropriate. I am sorry I can't take a larger share of the responsibility of organizing this, but I have just too many things on my plate already.

Just don't lose steam on this count. Make sure you follow up on this thought. Don't let it die. This is the single most important thing you can do to help get your approval.
 
Can a moderator (or someone) mark this thread as important so that it doesn't go down if no one has replied to it for few hours? We need to generate more awareness about I-140 delays in Vermont through this forum.
 
I am in ....Please clear I 140 faster so we have liberty and freedom to work independently. Unless this clear I believe all EB GC person are like slave and treat like slave. As employer knows what employee cant do any thing.

Its upto the lawmaker to ..... AS .... always says USA........freedom country............... DO you guys think this is TRUE??????????????/
