Thank you for the response. So in this case it would be better to try a B2 Visa by sponsoring/invite her that way she can visit back and forth while we waiting on the I-130 approval and what comes after.

I am also in the same boat Ramez75. Is there another way someone can propose that i can use to get my wife to come and visit the USA? How can i make a strong case for a Tourist Visa? Please advice.

My problem is I am supporting my wife financially in the country she is at waiting for the immigrant visa so trying to figure it out how can she show that she has no intent in overstaying also where she is at interview appointments have a waiting time of 4 to 5 months.

I am a Green card holder,I appiled i-130 for my wife since april 2022 and i did not hear anything from uscis .anyone have an idea ?when my case going to be approved or how long its going to take to get approved

Dude. Check the Visa Bulletin. This may give you an idea. I have been waiting for a date since it was approved for over a year now. So approval is not the be all end all. So far, My wife and I are coming up on 3 years in total in Aprl 2024. Godspeed.
 
Hi, So an update on this as we still wait. I see the Visa Bulletin has moved by over 8 months in the past 2 months. Gives me some hope again..lol

My question. My wife just gave birth to our baby boy in January 2024. What are the next steps please? Do i Contact the embassy, NVC, USCIS, etc. TIA

Hello analain and thanks for you answer .but I don't have no clue to what you talking about can explain more about this visa bulletin .to let you know my case is not even approved yet how I think about visa bulletin.i am confuse.

Hi I am in similar situation, I have filed I-130 through marriage in Dec 2022 and waiting for next steps. Not sure whom should we check on the status and when will it show any actual progress.Due to this uncertainty unable to travel outside US. I am currently on F1 visa

Have you guys checked the Processing Times applicable to your Field Office/Service Center to get an idea of where your I-130 currently stands?

I filled i130 in Jan 2024 and in Feb 2024 it went to “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS”. It’s been 3 days today.

I read a lot of comments and frustration that this stays for years. My question:- Is someone here that got approved with in 2 or 3 months?

I am one month ahead, I filed in December 2023 for my husband. In January 2024 it showed that the "Case is being actively reviewed". It says I am 1 week away from a decision- but I am not sure how accurate that is... I will tell you that it seems to be speeding up, A friend of mine did not receive an "Active review status" until well over a year of filing- back in 2021, and her husband just left for the US last month! So the fact that there was an active review within a month of filing is a good sign. I will come back here in a week with any updates!

What my case is now showing...
"Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action." I am hoping I receive some notice before October- I work for an international school and need to give them notice for the 2025-2026 school year, plus find a new teaching job in the States.

Hey how you got to know your case transferred from Texas service center to Potomac Service Center? I applied for my husband Jul 26th 2022. My receipt number starting with IOE. I didn’t hear anything after that. USCIS account access notice shows that is in Vermont service center. It’s gonna be 2 years for this July. :(

Could you please let me know how to check the service center correctly? My receipt number starting with IOE. USCIS account access notice shows Vermont Service Center. USCIS receipt shows California Service Center. I tried contact USCIS regarding this. But no luck. I couldn’t get any information. My case priority date is 07/26/2022. He is living outside the US.

Since may 2022 my wife case is being actively reviewed by USCIS .does anyone know how long it's gonna take to approve it ?

I applied for my husband July 26th, 2022 and my case is actively reviewed by USCIS on August 25th 2022. No updates after that. Still waiting. It's gonna be 2 years for this July 26th.
