How to do this?

Hi experts,
I am married to a USC. My wife is in the US, while I am in my home country doing my two-year home residency requirements (related to J-1 Visa).
My wife will file I-130 for me, but I should file I-485, I-693 and the rest of the papers. I understood that it is better if documents are filed together.
Can we file all of them in the US? Or do I have to file my papers with the American consulate in my country? any experience with this scenario?

I appreciate your valuable help.

Thank You!

Thank your Triple Citizen,
What about forms I-693, I-864 and G-325A? Do I file them from my home country? Or it would be better if my wife files for me from the US?

thankful in advance.

TC can add or make any comments to this if he likes.

I-693 is the medical examination which ofcourse your wife cannot take for you. You will have to get that taken care of from your home country. There is a list of USCIS certified doctors worldwide. You have to choose the one that applies to your city/country where you are residing.

I-864 form: Yes your wife needs to fill that out for you if she is sponsoring you.

G-325A form: She fills out her part (4 copies) and you fill out your part (4 copies)

there will be a different form (not I-693) for those doing consular processing, since it will not be a USCIS process. You'll do your medicals when you get an invitation for an interview. You shouldn't file for an immigrant visa until you spend the entire 2 (cumulative) years home. This is not the same as I-130.
