What if i go to US in september and valid my Green card, and i get back to my country, how long i am allowed to stay out of US ?

Can i declare my taxes even if i am outside of the US ?

One year, I believe. You will have to enter the US once a year in order to not lose your green card status.

No. You cannot apply for citizenship unless you satisfy the requirements. Look them up.

You can stay out for a year at a time when you firs get your green card so you can take care of things back home before you move to the US. Don't think you can do this forever. Maybe a couple of times. You must plan on moving to the US soon. If you want to be extra sure, get a re-entry permit. You can then stay out of the country for about 2 years straight. However, all this will mean you cannot apply for citizenship for several years.

If I'm not mistaken and I am pretty sure I read this somewhere but 90 days is the limit per year to leave the USA but this is to be able to obtain a citizenship in 5 years.

I'll do some homework on this but I know longer stretches require a re-entry permit.

What you heard is wrong. Citizenship isn't all about taxes. There's no difference in what you pay in taxes either as a LPR or citizen. The US govt still requires you to declare your worldwide income, if you choose to work outside the US for a while.

Lawful Permanent Residents who stay outside of the U.S. for 6 months in one calendar year or more at a time are risking losing their I-551 GC when they try to re-enter America, especially when they do it repeatedly.

This might help:

It states you need the re-entry permit if you stay out of the US for a year or more. So I interpret this to say you're okay if you stay away for 6 months or more, but less than a year. However, I don't think anyone can promise you this will absolutely be the case as it is always up to the border agent you encounter when you return. They can let you back in with a smile or be your worst nightmare. If the latter, always stay cool and don't get snarky.

If you decide to get a re-entry permit, it says you must do so while in the US and you have to complete biometrics here. Also, it costs $445. Not something quick or easy by the looks of it.

edmondbee, please start your own thread rather than hopping onto another persons. You will get clearer and perhaps quicker answers that way. All the best

It's not "can", it's "must". As soon as you enter the US on an immigrant visa and become an LPR, you are required to file an annual tax return with the IRS - no matter where you are physically or where your earnings are coming from.
