Help with interview

I think your record was good, but you are now getting into hot waters. The longer you wait for oath, the more you lose from a continuous residence perspective. You need to meet only the "permanent residence" requirements until the interview, but need to meet the "continuous residence" requirement until the oath. The more you stay outside, the less you meet these requirements.

Will the foreign-university-US tieup / Federal loan help? I will ask senior members here to comment ...
 
Just as a sidebar, if you live in a jurisdiction covered by the US Court of Appeals of the Second Circuit, a recent ruling was made that the continuous residence requirement applies until the day of the oath. http://bit.ly/bBCTLM

It's already been the case that continuous residence must be met up until oath. The court ruled in favor of USCIS' existing statute, rather than provide a new interpretation.
 
Wow, congratulations. Where did you apply? And, what do you mean you didn't meet physical presence requirements? How many days did you have out of the US?

Congratulations! That is great. I wonder if to the agent (so hit or miss) it 'mattered' your previous time in the US (you banked alot of it in) or if was just cut and dry you made it...

Anyway...good for you! Worry for notihing:)
