H4 Query..any Advise

Hello everybody,

One of my friend got married recently.
He earned 28K during 2003 and his labor mentioned 50K.
He was on bench for rest of the time in 2003 (But he was maintaining status) .

His wife went to US Consulate(for H4 Stamping) in chennai and she got a query "need additional information about why the pay was less than mentioned in Labor ".

Any one had this problem and is there anyway to solve this.

If he did not get 50K he did not maintain status. All US consulates are getting wiser about bench time.It is going to be tough,unless employer does attempts some drastic steps (like correcting pay, giving a letter why pay was less than LC)

so what are they saying "being on bench" is "intent to immigrate"?

-----"being on bench" means that employer is not paying and that is not legal on part of H1 employer, he needs to pay.By law to stand/sit on Bench or hide under Table is NOT allowed.
