H1b extension - need help

Desperately need help!

My 6 year limit on H1b expires in May2007. Labor & I140 already approved. I485 not applied due to retrogression.

My wife's 6 year limit on H4+H1b expires in Dec2007. GC process not initiated. She is currently on an H1b.

My question is: When I apply for my 3 year H1b extension can my wife also apply for an H1b to H4 transfer. If so, does she get the H4 based on my H1b extension. Also, can she switch to an H1b anytime during that 3 year extension.

Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank in advance.

Is it ok for a company other than the one she is currently working with to file her LC? If so, when she extends her H1b does she have to switch to that company or can she remain with her current employer.
