H1b Extension approved (Regular)

Finally it is here...H1 and H4 extension approved

I am updating this thread with good news of my H1 and son's H4 extension approval. It has been a long eventful and distressing time while being on this regular extension line.

RFE response received on April 28th, approved on May 25th.

I need a similar result on my I140 RFE response which is going out this week.

I am still wondering what happened to my case..last updated date on my case is May 13th but my employer has not received anything (approval or RFE) There is no changed in online message too. has anybody started enquiry in H1 pending cases?

H1 and H4 ext

If you apply for H1 ext along with H4 ext, then the usual processing would be H4 time line which is 3-4 months faster than H1 stand alone time-line.

I applied H1-B and H4 ext. together around Feb 15'04 got them approved 05/29/04 which is H4 ext time frame.

It is not true. I had applied for H1 and H4 extension together. It took 6 months for them to issue an RFE.

If your case is approved it means that they are processing newer applications by new group of adjudicators. It seems VSC hired some people very recently.
 
I don't fully agree with you. I applied for H1 and H4 extension on Dec 15, 2003 and still waiting for an aproval.

Well !
It's all depends on processing center and USCIS officer who happend to pick up your file. Mine was processed at Vermont, though. I know, we can't predict one's case on someone else's.
 
My friend's H1B extension was approved on June 1st,2004

Sorry to put this here, but can somebody please help in this situation:

One of my friend's H-1B 7th year extension got denied although 365 days had elapsed on his LC application. Reason for denial is he had applied for his H1-B before before the 365 days were up since the date was cutting too close. Please note the following:

LC Applied September 29th 2003
H-1B 6th year expiration September 30th 2004 (366 days elapsed)
I-94 Expiry September 30th 2004 (Just one day differece)
H-1B Filed August 29th 2004. (Beore 365 days were up)

Can anything be done in this case. Please advise

One will get the eligibility only after 365 pending of labor specified in 04/2003 memo. I think best option is to re-apply asap. Read this...

Hi. My employer just received the approval letter from USCIS for my H1B extension (2nd 3 years). Filed regular processing. Good luck.
