H1 stamping with the new Employer

Hi,
I really appreciate an answer from someone.
I changed my employer recently and got H1 approval notice .
My old visa is valid till 2007 Oct and I scheduled an appointment on oct 12th 2006 in matamoros Mexico to get the new Visa stamped against the new H1 approval.Could any one please let me know that I can do this ?.
Is there any timeframe to get the new stamping done,somethng like 2 months before the date of expiry of the current visa ?

----------- you can do that but new visa stamp is not required till 2007 Oct if your H1 transfer approval has I-94 attached, you can remain and work till I-94 expiry date

------------ Visa stamp is for Entry to US, if you go out after 2007 Oct then you need new Visa stamp to enter US. you can get new visa stamp any time

----If you go out of US and want to enter US Before 2007 Oct then at POE show the valid Visa stamp AND your H1 approval notice and you will get I-94 till latest H1 approval notice

Stamping dates

Hi,
This is query ,Is there any time frame to get the new H1 stamped to the pasport...some thing like 2 months before the curent Visa expires?Or any time I can go and get the passport stamped with the new H1 Approval?
In my case the old visa expires in 2007 oct and my appointment date is on 2006 oct 12.thats hardly 13 more days from now.So basically I like to confirm whether I can do the stamping right now or not:-(

Even your visa expires you can go for stamping.

I think 2007 is typo, other wise you can go now for stamping.
