There is nearly 3 weeks difference between my received date (12/13/02) and notice date (01/07/03) . Any body is having same experience ? I am not understanding why there is so much difference .
 
How much time is it taking lately for getting a receipt notice in hand? for H1-trans

Hi guys,

Currently I am on a H1 with employer A. I am planning on moving to employer B and I just need a receipt notice to start working for him.

Anybody know how long it is taking to just receive a receipt notice in hand from the Vermont Service Center only.

Very quick and very painless. But $1,000 extra!!!

Advice would be to apply normally a few months before the expiry of your current H1b and keep track of it – or pay the extra and go premium.

Good luck folks and now I’m off to the I140 and I485 forums for some time there

I applied for my H-1 extension on Nov 7. Still waiting...
Really cannot understand why it's taking them so long. This is BS.
Anyone received I-129 recently please post on this forum. :(

I Applied for 7th Year Extension for my H1 and my wifes H4 at the same time. I received my wife's H4 Approval(coutesy Copy to me).
It states they mailed original to my Attorney. But online status is still not updated. Waiting for my H1 Approval.

Anybody who applied for a H1 transfer from Vermont and got approved recetnly , please update. I dont know what is takng them so long....is it still 4 months to do a H1 transfer
 
HI-B ext beyond 6th year

Hey guys after more than 3 months of waiting I finally got a RFE from INS and the RFE is for more proof showing that my labor was filed more than a year ago. Anyway in case anyone is filing for H1-B ext and also wants to have benefit of 7th year extension based on labor filed over more than a year, to avoid RFE please send anything you can, showing that you have filed for your labor > 1yr.

Response sent 03/19/2003

Status - still waiting
 
Applied for H1B 7th Year ext on Dec'2/2002 for me and my wife. Got it approved on March7'th/2003. Got the Notices to my attorney.
But the online status still not updated.

This case has been approved. On April 7, 2003, an approval notice was mailed.
