Looks like CSC has become silent once again after moving relatively fast for 15 days.

If anyone has been approved lately, can you please post along with your RD.

H1B: Pending for over 8 months already :-( !

Case : I-129 (New H1B)
RD : May 22, 2002
Office : Laguna Niguel
Type : Regular Processing

Note: This is a change of status from B1 to H1.

My H1 extension was filed in 4/18/02 and till date I have not received any news. Irony is that my wife's H4 got approved in the month of oct 2002. After repeated FAX enquiries, INS said that it had overlooked my case and (in dec 2002) it has been handed over to a case officer. No news yet!!!!

Grapevine has it that the INS is deliberately slowing the H1 processing so that the despearte candidates will opt for the premium processing. Easy $1000, right!!!!

In India it might be termed as something else but here in US it is legal!!!

This pathetic way of working exists even in DMV and SSA offices.

It is high time that all these US Govt employees go to India for training. So much for efficient way of working!!!!
 
Hi mlaksh,

I think you should definitely contact your lawyer regarding this. He can probably find out what is happening with your case.

I think some cases with RD as late as 09/02/02 are approved (see post by navkap in another thread). Though I am not sure if that is a one off case or INS is really moving fast.

Thanks for your advise. I am in constant touch with my lawyer and he in turn with INS.

Finally, today got a response from INS stating that my case has gone to storage (which my lawyer interprets as approved) and that they did not know why the approval notice was not sent.

They have asked for the case particulars (from the storage I believe) to find out why it was not sent.

It is billed as another clerical error!!!

This is the second "clerical error" that has happened on my case so far :)
 
CSC- receipt delays

hello,

does anyone knows how long it takes these days for CSC to send the receipt notices for H1 b transfers? I applied on JAN 18 2003 and no response till now. Did anyone who applied after JAN 18 received their receipt notices ?Please reply
 
Still waiting for h1 xfer

My RD is 7/16/02 for H1 xfer at CSC with regular procesing and I still havnt heard anything....
Is there anyone with RD in range and still waiting?

H1B transfer waiting with receipt date 10/17/2002

I am waiting for H1-B and H4 transfer at CSC with RD 10/17/2002. Any idea when I can get. Also, I was laid off from my previous employer on June 28th but on salary continuation till Aug 8th. Last pay check was on Aug 8th. I applied for my transfer only on Oct 17th. What are my chances of approval/denial? Look forward to any replies. My wife is also back in India and waiting for approval notices to get back.

H1 cancel problem

Hi,

I applied for the H1 transfer on Oct 30 I got my LIN no. I did not inform my previous employer , Now he wants me to come back. He is threatening me to cancel my visa . Does it causes any problem. I was with out pay from june 2002.

Pending H1B

My RD at the CSC is 7/24/2002.
No word from the INS yet about the approval for my H1B extention.
Anyone around that date got their H1B approved?


If any of you had a RD around that date please update us whether approved or not. It will help a lot.

H1B Transfer Approved - FInally

Hi ,

my h1b extension and transfer finally got approved.. just got a call from my lawyer.. My lawyer had to call INS and track my case

RD: 7/16/02
A/D: 3/5/03
 
Believe it or not!!

Believe it or not, my H1B is still pending. My receipt date was July 24, 2002.
The INS declared in 2001 that when they establish the premium processing unit that this won't affect the regular processing.
Well I remember H1B getting approved in less than two months before the premium processing started. Now it is taking them 8 or 9 months!!!! This is not fair!

Just another update guys, anyone in California Service Center around my date got approved without premium processing?

My receipt date at CSC is 10/17/2002 for H-1 AND h-4 TRANSFER. Can any of you let me know if anybody from october got approval.
