on the previous page. He got his transfer
approved on 11/15, receipt date 5/5.

I don't know if I should say this but guess
the attorney is taking you for a ride.
If your transfer was filed on 4/13 atleast they
should have sent a fax inquiry a couple
of months ago.

I have been reading messages on murthy forum too.

The latest dates that I got from there for
H1-extension are

R.D : 5/14 approved on 12/10.

Please follow up with your attorney.

H1-B approval

Finally got approval for H-1B transfer petition from CSC

Receipt Date : 05/14/02
Approval :12/13/02
(based on online-status)
 
H1 Extension

Vasu,

My H1 extension is filed on Oct 11 2002. I need to go India as my brother-in-law expired.

My H1 is expired on 14th Dec 2002. Is there a way I can go and come back.

Please advice me

Sorry to hear about the bad news SP.
You always have the option of converting
to Premium Processing. Please contact
your attorney about the same.

INS is required to reply within 15 working
days. Are you planning to stay in India
for three weeks or more ? Also there are many
holidays in this month. Add a week more to
compensate for that.

So if you are ready to stay back in India for
about 4 weeks, convert your case to Premium
Processing and go home. Your attorney
can send you the 797 approval. You can
get your visa stamped and get back here.

Please talk to an attorney before you take
a decision.

Hi Vasu & H1 waiting friends,

My company applied for my H1 extension in July 1st week. Its been 5 mths but no news..do u have any idea when approx it should be coming looking at the current rate...

secondly how effecient in Premium processing these days as they guarantee 15 days....Also i have heard about some rumour that company needs to send a letter about long term employability..is this True..

I would appraciate some inputs from you...

Hi all,

My new employer filed H-1B transfer on Dec 23 02. Does anyone have an idea how long it is taking CSC to send reciept, because I cannot start working until the reciept is recieved.

I am little concerned because I see here that H1 is taking long time for approval, so are they also taking long time to send the reciept?

I did not get my approval as yet. But I atleast came to
know that my case has been assigned to an officer
on the 18th of December.

From an Immigration Information Officer.
She told me this only when I told her
that my case has been pending for the last
8 months now and they have passed
my R.D long ago.

H-1 extension approved.

I just checked my case status online. My case was
approved on 01/03/03. FYI, my receipt date was
05/06/02.

nk01 and vasu_c congratulations to both of you. MY RD is 5/7/02. I trying to reason out the way it works. Is it possible that they also take into account the expiration date of previous status while prioratizing the visa processing. Since 04/23 and 5/6 are getting processed the same day(And much after the later dates i.e. 5/16 etc were processed), that is the only thing that can explain this.

What were your expiration dates?

My visa expired on 9/2/02. I really
don't see any logic here. It just depends
upon the officer who gets your case. Depends
on how fast he/she works.
 
I just checked my status. Mine is also approved. RD 5/7/02
Approval Date 01/09/03.
Hope you get your approvals soon.

Did anyone see the new JIT report from California? It says they are currently processing cases from 06/27

Is that true? Especially for H1 extension? Can anyone whose RD is near that date post if they have been approved?

If you are not, then also please post so that we can know whats going on..

Approval

My case got approved on 01/21/03, RD was 07/12/2002 , more then seven months now.
I have a question though, just this month i changed jobs and my new employer has done premium processing for the transfer before i got the approval for the earlier transfer and i want to go to India, can i go on this approval or should i wait till the new one arrives.

Thats really great news. Is yours a H1 extension case? Please let us know..

Regarding your situation, I think you can go, but please verify with your lawyer as they are the ones that will know the correct answer.
