Green card- need to know if its conditional or not

Hi Guys,

I married in 2005 and my wife became a citizen toward the middle of that year. I applied for greencard and got my GC in Nov 2007 with a validity date till November 2017.

I have heard that people get a conditional GC first because of the fact that they got it through marriage to a citizen. I am not sure if mine is, I have not applied for any condition removal yet and planning to go outside the US, next week for 10 days.
I know that the conditional has to be removed within 90 days of the end of the second anniversary of the GC approval.
So all I need to know if my status is conditional or not, I dont want to get stuck at the airport on my way back and be deported right away.

GC validity is Nov 2007 to Nov 2017.

Would really appreciate if anyone can help me getting this answered.

Thanks.

since your card is good for 10 years and you have been married for more than 2 years at the time of your AOS approval - you have an unconditional GC.

I am pretty sure it's a conditional GC since it's the first one - 10 yr or not...

Just Kidding..... 10 yr GC is unconditional

GRRRRR!!!! missed a couple of beats reading that reply .... I could have easily not scrolled all the way down....whew!! but good one though ... lol thanks bro....

It's definitively unconditional, don't sweat it. Were it conditional, USCIS would probably tell you. In my case, just before the window for removal of condition opened, they sent me a letter saying "don't forget that your GC is conditional, in --- months you should apply for removal of condition" which was nice of them.
