I cannot believe I got an RFE!!

Here are the two things they requested:

1) The household member on the petioner/sponsor Form I-864, Affidevit of support must submit all federal income tax documentation submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year.

In order to process your application further, the household member needs to submit federal income tax documents for the most recent tax year.

For more specific information see Form I-864A page 2 "Household member federal income tax information.

Now, I remember that I send the W2 for the year 2006 which was my most recent. If I was not supposed to send W2 then what should I send!!!

2) Form I-693 Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. The medical examination must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by the USCIS.

Submit your medical with this letter.

This is all too weird since no one told me about medical examination.

I am confused!

LOL? Nobody told you about the medical exam? It is only mentioned 32245 times in this forum and several times more in the instructions for the forms and the online guides.

Thank!

What should I do about the I-864? Should I only send the IRS transcripts or do I need to fill out I-864A.

Also for medical I-693 I got two letters one of the above and the second is about some immunization.

How much time it takes to get done with these exams?

You have to comply

It is not complicated - it is straight forward.

You have to provide I-693 - you have to go to a doctor who is authorized by the USCIS to sign that form - [time frame it all depends on you, if you want an expedited service or just normal] and you have to pay the doctor his fees - this is not a surprise of the century.

You have to fill the I-864 and attach those IRS transcripts thenafter send them.

Until you comply thenafter you will receive your EAD and appointment for interview.

Hi MoeCurly,

Thanks for the fast reply! and the useful information.

I will try to get the doctor's appointment ASAP!

Also, I will fill I-864A and send the transcripts for 3 most recent years 2005,2006,2007.

One more thing! How would I know that USCIS have received my documents and my case is again in a moving state?

I think I forgot to tell you guys that there was another letter by USCIS about Supplement to Form I-693 Adjustment of Status Applicant's Documentation of Immunization.

So, I guess I need to do this also!

If I have already been immunized back in my country and if I can show him the immunization paper then would I be required to get immunized.

Also, I am 27 is'nt the immunization for younger kids?

Relating RFE

mazam,

I just read your posts regarding RFE. I thought I'd drop u a quick line since I was a victim of this stupid RFE myself about a month back. If you think about it, how could I get a RFE since my wife's paperwork was filed by an immigration attorney, but still We were asked to send the same stuff. The letter had the same wordings as you did but the only difference was we were not asked for I-693 (medical exam). USCIS requested me to send complete forms of 1040 for 2006 (all pages) and 1099 (earning statement) since I'm an independent consultant & work on projects time to time.
One thing to keep in mind. Don't forget to make an extra copy of that RFE sent by USCIS incase you have to re-send 'em. Second thing, when you mail them the paperwork to Lee Summit, MO address, pay few bucks extra and send them by certified mail so you know when USCIS received your paperwork. Once they receive it at their end, they will update the stats online within a week saying that they have received your paperwork & the case has been resumed. Good luck & let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks Atlanta_Brother for your good advice. I will do everything you said. I have already received my TAX Transcripts through fax. I will make a copy and send it to USCIS.

I am not sure if I am supposed to send I-864A but I will send it.

My medical is tomorrow!!!

Hey Atlanta Brother,

When they asked you for the TAX transcripts did you send the I-864A along with the transcripts or only the tax transcripts? I read the letter (RFE) multiple times and I think they only require transcripts!

I think they want 2007 Taxes. I'm not sure why immigration has gone mad but when I filed 2 years ago in 2006 January they asked for my 2005 Taxes. I had to wait about 20 days to do my taxes and send them that years tax.

I dont know what they want from you, just sharing my experience.

Hi twopac3,

I have filed my 2007 taxes but the transcripts are not yet available so I have 2006, 2005, 2004. They want my transcripts because I did not send them in the first place. I only sent the W2's. I will make sure they receive the latest 2006 transcripts.
