Is this Thread, now a candidate, to be posted at the top, and serve as a benchmark for those who got approved and waiting for the physical Card [as a tracker]??

BTW, no AP documents or EAD cards were asked by the INS officers (Hartford, CT). Just needed the courtesy copy of the approval letter for passport stamping.

Still waiting for card. It will be almost 6 months. For those who got the card does the message change to card mailed or does it remain like below. Posting the full status from website. I called the number and it gave the same message. I will call again after six months are up and go for the live operator. No hurry. I am still happy that I got the approval and passport is stamped. I mean I do not know why the plastic is needed. Does anyone? Thanks frends :

On September 3, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.
