card ordered: 08/04/04 for my wife and for me 08/09/04.
we didn't get any email or LUd change but my wife get card on 08/16/04, today I got email that 08/18/04 they mailed my card.
This morning I got an email from USCIS-CCSO stating that "On August 18, 2004, the card order was completed and we mailed the applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283"
Passport Stamped on 06/30
Card Ordered on 08/02
Card Mailed on 08/17
Will update once I receive the card.

CO: 08/04/2004 ( Interesting is that, after card ordered, my wife LUD din't change at all, and also she didn't get any mail that her card mailed. She received on 08/16/04. But today I checked her LUD it changed today and written card has mailed on 08/18/04, so Freinds don't worry if you din't get any message or if your LUD didn't change, have patience. INS is really wiered.

6 months and no card

I have been waiting six months and have not yet received my card. My lawyer did get a RFE (last month) requesting a new set of photos be sent since they didn't like my previous pose. Think my middle finger was sticking out or something!
The best part is they didn't bother to return the previous photos which were perfectly fine. The officer must be having a bad day, I guess -- too many donuts. In any case, has anyone run into a similar issue?

I was wondering if one way or the other, the process differs.
In interview, we directly get the stamp and then approval notice from local office. In direct approvals, the notice comes from service ctr and then pp gets stamped at local office.
So, does the card order start from point of stamping? or when the approval notice gets sent from service center.

10-14 days after interview, we got I-181 (welcome notice) from VSC. # are EAC-***.
So local office cent back to VSC and sent I-181 then next they make card.
When I check internet for I-181 it said, After approving.... Then change to this case has been approved, ... Like EAD.
It took 3-4 weeks after interview.
