What will happen if GC holder marries someone who came as tourist in US? If they got married here in US, can she stay in US and adjust her status from tourist to immigrant visa here without going back to native country?

Isn’t she allowed to stay once we file I-130? Her tourist visa will expire – but she is in the process for immigrant visa.

only US citizens are eligible for an immediate visa for their spouses, others have to wait outside america till a visa number becomes available or the GC holder spouse becomes a citizen.
