Guys, just wanted to share the good news that my GC has been approved on EB2(ROW) while being on TN. Thanks alot for all the help and support of everyone on this forum especially Nelsona and CuriousGeorge as it would have been quite difficult without your expert suggestions. Good luck to everyone who is enroute to GC.

I do have a couple of questions related to that.

1. What should I tell the Canadian POE now about my status in US while entering in Canada? I am assuming "Canadian with GC" but just wanted to know if that would result in more questioning.
2. Should I handover our TN I-94s to US POE next time we enter US or should I rather mail it to the any POE?

thanks,
Sabih

Both of my responses are assuming that you have Adjusted Status to Permanent Resident. That is, your I-485 has been approved. Or to put it differently, you have a green card with your name on it in your possession.

1. when you enter Canada, they ask what is your citizenship. You say Canadian and show your Canadian passport. They will ask where you live. You tell them USA. They will ask your status in the USA, you say Permanent Resident. If they ask to see your GC, you pass it to them.
2. Keep your I-94's in a safe location in your house. You do not need to do anything with them, but it is wise to keep them until your are a US citizen.

No. You should return them when you leave or re-enter the US. You can keep a copy if you prefer.

The OP has become a Permanent Resident. Therefore the I-94 is useless. USCIS knows what his I-94 # is based on his I-485 application and no longer cares since he is permanent resident. In the USCIS system the I-94 has already been cancelled.

... and I think we can leave all the credit with curiousgeorge

dude, you help way more people with your contribution to this forum than I do, but I appreciate the kind words.
