Hello,

I am planning to move to DC in July 2008....My son will be 4 years and half at that time...would it be possible to find a free kindergarten for his age?...any free pre public school?....if not, what are the alternatives?

Thanks for your help

Jimmy

I think public school is free in all states to children with legal resident status, whether that status is permanent residence or some kind of long-term visa. Some states even allow illegal alien children to go to public school. So if DC has any kind of public school/kindergarten for 4 year olds, it is almost for certain that your son can attend. But you'll have to search the web or make calls to the DC school districts to be sure ... this is not a forum about schools for children.
