Hi,
I received my IA on April 11th and I got my medicals done only after 2 weeks from the date of receiving the IA letter.
Is it ok?

My medicals will be sent to Ottowa later this week .Does this mean that my medicals will reach ottowa by 90 days or should it reach LA consulate by 90 days?

My IA only asked for medicals and landing fees was not asked.Can anybody te me when they will request for the landing fees?I have only paid one half of the fees while sending my application.

As long as they receive all the documents they asked within 90 days it should be fine. I did medicals after 2 months of IA. I am also expecting it to be OK. Thats strange. They asked landing fees for me. You can send it along with other docs. It wont hurt. Anyway you will be asked at a later stage. I think, they even say that in the initial applications. You can send landing fee any time. Check the docs....

When did u get ur IA?

How long will it take after they get our Medicals?

In the medicals form send to me with IA says in point 6 (All applicants should note the following) that routine immunizatioonbe initiated or completed before departure for canada and immunization records must be brought to canada.
So what should I do for this?

I am not sure. If I were you I would send it. This will save some time for them again asking for it and all.

I got my IA on Feb 16th. If all goes well I think 2 months or so....

I have done my immunizations this year earlier and have docs for the same. You can go to your doctor and ask him to check you for immunizations. Its always better to do this.
 
PPR After Medicals

For your Information I just came back from Candian consulate NY. They told me it is taking 10 weeks for ottawa office to enter you medical results in to the system once they recieve it.
Just for every one who is waiting like me for PPR.

time frame for entering medicals to ottowa system

Thanks for posting the information.I got my IA letter on April11th.My medicals were sent to ottowa only on May 10th.So 10 weeks from May 10th is 19th / 20th of July.

But my IA letter stated that the Canandian consulate of LA must receive the results within 90 days from receiving the IA letter,which is 11th of July.So what will happen since they will receive mine only after 19th or 20th of July.

Should I write a letter stating this or is this the case with many whose medicals have been sent to Ottowa.

I got my IA in feb. But I did my medicals only in April end and sent the rest of the docs in May. I kept a letter stating that I did medicals on so and so date and the details of the docs I am sending.

I think it is OK. Its not our fault that Ottawa office is not entering details in to their system. They are not that picky in issues like this.

Thanks for ur response.In my IA letter I was requested only for medicals,since I sent all other docs along with my application.So I did not send any docs from my side.The doc's office sent the medical results directly to Ottowa Canandian Consulate.

In this case will they consider if I send a letter now stating the reason.

What all should I include in that letter.

I want to clarify one thing here. You need to send your medicals and req docs within 90 days IA.

10 week that Ottawa office is taking is not part of 90 days. Once you send your Medicals within 90 days you are done. You are not responsible if Ottawa office is taking longer. So , Don't worry Relax :)
 
Any body got PPR from NY consulate? Lets share the time for PPR. Secondly those who got IA from NY consulate did their E-cas ever updated if saying IA sent or something similar?

Help needed with IA!

Hi Gurus,

I have received an IA abt 2 months back from NY Conslate requesting for FBI/Police certificates,medicals, bank statement and landing fee within a 90 day period.

I have sent the finger print card to FBI and its been close to 8-10 weeks and no response as yet.I tried calling them and they always say its still in process and I may get the finger print record results in July and by that time my 90 day period respone time will be over.

Can I just send the bank statement,permanent residence fee ,medicals now and later send the finger print records when I receive it from FBI in July.Also, what is the exact fee for right of permanent residents now as they changed it now.

Could anyone please share your experiences as this would be a right approach as my the deadline for responding within the 90 day period is approaching end of this week.

Any inputs/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I also received the similar letter stating my file has been transferred to NY office. I have 2 questions if someone can help me or provide more info.

1. AOR is April 2005. Does anyone know how long NY office will take to complete the analysis and send any info?

2. Also hoping that they wont ask for an interview, can I request to get the fingerprinting done by FBI right away? This way I can save some time when I receive something from NY. I have heard FBI fingerprinting takes upto 12 weeks these days. Will this help?

I would really appreaciate if someone can tell me estimated timelines at NY office. I could not find NY office in list at cic canada website.

I got my letter around 1 month after transfered to NY. Depends on the volume of applications they have. I would suggest you go ahead and apply for FBI fingerprinting. This would avoid a lot of delays once u get ur IA.
 
Thomas, thanks for quick reply. so for fingerprinting from FBI, is it the same process as we did during the initial application?

I mean, I just get the fingerprinting cards filled up with required fingerprints on FBI cards and send it to prescribed address along with fees. They will send me back the letter of no records which I have to send it to canada officials. Is that correct?

Please let me know if this is different than we did during initial application for permenant residance.

Its the same process.
I didnt give FBI records initially with the application, so I went and did when they asked. In your case, I cant tell u what is the best decision. Either wait for IA and if they dont ask for FBI again, its good. Else apply then???

Oh ...I understand now...!!!! I did submit the FBI fingerprinting letter of no records alongwith initial application bunch. Are you sure they ask for it alongwith IA only if not submitted initially?

Yeah, as you said, I could wait for IA and hope they wont ask for it again, right?

btw, what does IA mean? I guess its the as request to do medicals?
 
IA means initial assessment. Yes. They will definitely ask for clearences if not submitted initially. However since you have already submitted, they may or maynot ask for it. The reason being, clearences are only valid for 6 months. So its their discretion.
IA comes normally with medicals documents. Again, thats their decision. From what I have seen in this forum, most of the time they will ask for medicals.
 
How much time after NY consulate recieves medical!!!!

I would appreciate if anyone could please let me know approximately how much time it takes to get request for passport once the medical papers have reached the NY consulate.

My online status is showing that the consulate has recieved my medicals.

Sbhan: Can u share ur timeline with us? We did our medicals in May and sent the other docs in June but my CAS is still not updated. We are also anxiously waiting. I think u should get PP request within the next 2 or 3 mths, hopefully.....
