Receipt date

Could someone let me know, usually how long it will take to get a receipt date after the document sent to NSC.

My documents sent on monday, but someone talking about, this may take 2-3 weeks to get the receipt number

Nylabor - I think I saw LUD dated 03/06/06, that when I checked the status. The approval notice went to the attorney. I got my LC certified on Jan 09 2006.

For some reason, EB2 approvals seem to be heldup.

Any thoughts from anybody?

RP1975 mantains a good I-140 tracker at http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=1373704. A simple calculation shows that it takes in average 25 days to adjudicate EB3 cases and 45 days for EB2.
Why this difference? My guess is because NSC processes EB2 and EB3 in different queues it is difficult to maintain them in sync and it is normal to have some discrepancies.
Anyways, NSC has come a long way in reducing the waiting time for I140 and even for I485.

P.S. I am pretty sure No-Luck meant to say 3/15/2006 instead of 3/18.

Looks like NSC have stopped processing cases to prepare for the new H1B season. No new approvals for a very long time
