I-140 approved

I'm so disappointed with this process that I had forgotten to visit the forum. I visited today and saw some approvals so I went to the USCIS web site to check my husband's process status and I found it was approved on yesterday!

I don't know if I should be happy or not because we're in the "EB-3 rest of the world" group so we'll have to wait until...........

I140 still pending

Hello All,

My detials are

Habs4 ------ Nov 15 - EB2 - Jan 17- Jan 20 - NSC -? - pending.

I see people who have I140 RD in Feb getting approved.I am little bit concerned abt my 7th year extension if my I140 is not approved before April 06.

mke, PD-12-24-03, mbsic : Can you please tell me where are your companies located for me to understand if your regional offices were different.

My company is located in Chicago,Illinois.

Questions

Hello. Can anyone enlighten me about the I-140 process? My lawyer mailed my I-140 application to NSC on Feb 15th, 2006. My LC PD is September 2003. What is the difference between FD (Filing Date?) and RD (Received Date?) mentioned in the trackers earlier in this forum? How do they acknowledge receipt of the application? Via email to lawyer or via snail mail? I suppose they also give you a receipt number as I saw one member mention about checking the status through the USCIS website.

Thanks for your help! I will update the forum members of any progress my application makes - I'm glad to see approvals in as early as two weeks.

RD is the date on the reciept, I got my reciept no. from my lawyer through e-mail, I guess the lawyer also got it as e-mail. Once you get reciept no. you can set up tracking on USCIS web site and they give you updates on status , LUD.

kmk-gk ~ Thanks for the reply and the information. I asked my lawyer about it and sure enough she had the receipt number which she gave to me. I checked the status and setup tracking for my case on USCIS as suggested. And here's the update on my case:

maggu______ - Sep 2003 - EB2 - Feb 15 - Feb 16 - NSC - No - Waiting

and the "last updated" date was Feb 23.

If and when anything else happens, I'll let everyone know.

How can I find my case status @ NSC without LIN#

Dear All

Its my first post in this forum.

My LC got approved on Dec 24, 2005. My Employer (based in IL) and Attorney applied for I-140 at NSC. The application was received at NSC on Feb 13, 2006. (confirmation from Fedex)

I am unable to get LIN#. Is there any possiblity of finding out the status of I-140 @ NSC without a LIN#?

I hear different stories about approval time. Its ranging from 4 months to 7 months.

NSC websites shows current Receipt Notice Date as of Aug 16, 2005

Which of the above dates is more realistic?

My Case is EB2 RIR. I am completing my 6th year in Sep 06.

Appreciate any response from the I-140 community.

Status without LIN #

You would not be able to get updates from USCIS directly without LIN #, check with your attorney and he should have it. Look at Jan and Feb trackers set up and cases are getting approvals in about 15 days, therefore these trackers are more realistic than official estimates which are conservative and generalized, but you are never sure since there are some Dec and prior cases still pending.

Are they only sending out approvals on Fridays? The only approvals in our Feb 2006 Tracker are on Fridays. Or is it just a coincidence?!?
