Feb 2002 CSC 485 filers Please post info

I read in Daily Updates of this site that packets received on Feb 19th or after should have new fees.

mailed on Feb 14, 2002. From Fedex receipt understood that they package reached INS of FEb 15, 2002. But till date I have not reeceived the RD. Worried
any idea

You should have no problems about fees
The package was received on Feb 15 and hence u will definitely have no problems
 
Re: Old fees

Looks like I am in trouble. I filed my 485 with old fee as my attorney told that the ins accepts the old fee if its postmarked before 19th Feb. I believed him(assumed that he knows everything abount INS). Now I was going thru Sheela Murthy\'s website and found the following.

"They then modified the effective date of the fee increase to February 19, 2002. This means that all cases filed on or after February 19, 2002 must be accompanied by the new fees. A case is considered "filed" as of the date the INS actually receives it. Cases postmarked prior to February 19, 2002 but received after that date at the INS will need to include the new fees."

Does anyone know whether the INS sends back the application immediately or will wait for 4,5 months to send it back???

My AOS forms sent to INS on 02/22/02...will Keep updated. My lawyer told me I\'ll also get a receipt so that is good.

Mailed my I485/EAD/AP Petitions on 1/29/02.
 Either my attorney or I haven\'t yet received any receipt notices but interestingly got my FP Scheduled in March.
