F1 refuse for 214b needs your opinion

Something is not adding up here. Are you saying you plan to lie on your DS160 about who is paying for your college and living costs while you are in the US? You’re telling them it’s your uncle in zim but actually it’s not? And in actuality you won’t be paying anything but also you can’t afford a 4+year college off the bat (previous post?)

I have a kid who recently graduated college and one about to apply so next year, so I am very familiar with the college landscape and costs. Even two years of a 4-year college, you are at best looking at around $30-40k a year for international student fees even if you stay with family and commute. You cannot get in state residency/tuition fees on a F1 visa. There is very little aid for international students and almost none for transfer students (even domestic ones), which is what you will be coming from a community college. Or are you saying that this “distant family” that you don’t feel is worth mentioning on your DS are prepared to drop $100k or so all in on your education?

By the way, if you get caught lying on a visa application form don’t be surprised to get all future applications denied, if you’re lucky enough to not get a permanent ban.
I mean I never lied on the DS-160. When it asked “Do I have any other relatives?” i clicked yes.

However If they ask me where I’ll live I just say housing on-campus.

Ok dude. We don’t support people who lie on visa applications/to visa officials here. Your first post also makes more sense now, clearly they didn’t believe you about your “sponsor” for reasons other than you indicated there. Don’t be surprised to get denied again.

?" I gave a answer which was robotic so perhaps did not show a genuine relationship with my Uncle(based in Zimbabwe) who will be sponsoring my education.
No i have family in the US who have offered to cover my fees and lemme stay with them
Distant enough family that I don’t need to mention in my DS-160 and shoot myself in the foot.

But you don’t lie?

Kindly don’t reply if you won’t provide me with any useful advice towards my situation. Thank you :)

Wait my apologies for the above… I can’t seem to delete my messages or delete my account is there a guide on how to do that?

FYI, Susie’s responses to your posts have been spot onto. She rightly pointed out the inaccuracies with your posts/plan.

First of all, sorry for the above messages some may have come off as rude and that is not the intention. I realise you are all only intending to help. Perhaps I have not explained my situation correctly.

I have indeed not kept or lied about anything on my DS-160. My sponsor who is my Uncle here in my homeland has offered to pay for my education. I am hoping to attend a community college with the idea of transferring when i’m done.

The situation is that in the US I got some family who said I can stay with them during studies which means I wont worry about housing, food or transport. Now in the first interview that I was rejected for I put their address for where i’ll live but was never asked that. I am afraid this might be a negative and that I should rather stick to the housing the Community College offers.

Wgat advice do you have for my potential 2nd interview. All is appreciated and I apologise for earlier
