F-1 student getting married with USC?

Hello.
I came to the U.S. about a year and a half ago with B2 ( tourist visa valid for 6 months ). I went to a public high school in my town. When my tourist visa started expriring I filled out a form to change my status to a F-1 student. It got approved and I got an I-20 form from the high school. Now, I'm in 12th grade ( 3 months to my graduation ) and would like to go to a college, but there is a problem: an international students advisor at the college I've been trying to apply says that I'm out of status becasue I was in the public school more than 12 months. She also says that I should of pay about $10,000 fee to the high school for "getting education" there for about a year. The school never told me that I could't be there no longer than 12 months, and they said that it was 100% FREE. Ok, I am still in the status - I have few more days. I'm kind of surprised about that whole story/situation but I need to figure something out really fast. I talked with an immigration lawyer, and he says that I should transfer to a private school for these 3 months. However, they want me to pay them like $4,000 for 3 moths ... I just don't have it. I don't have that $10,000 for the high school either...
I am just wondering, if I got married within these few days with an UCS if that could possibly help me stay in the U.S. and apply for adjustment of status in the near future?? If there is anybody who can give me any background or any advice it will be grealty appreciated by me.
( sry for my english mistakes but i am really frustrated right now... )

If a marriage is going to help, please let me know what forms do I have to fill?

 who are you getting marry to?
Are you under 18?
Where you are from?

It doesn't sounds a good idea
since you have a lawyer, what your lawyer say about getting marry to a USC to stay in US?

All the lawyers suck.. They dont know ALL the restrictions about F-1 students. Sometimes, A regular guy knows more than few of lawyers in conjunction....

I am asking here for any ideas. I dont even know what to do.!? I came here legally, i am still legally.... All my grades are straight As. GPA is about 3,7. I wanna learn Engineering in this country, but there is always a friggin RACIST ( some american call that just " YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT - F*** OFF " ). It's nice .. how the country that was created by international people turned into "the leader's country" from 67 years ago... who has fought against them ?

Somebody, who's got smart brain should be the president of this country - not BUSH, No.no.no..... Somebody. who realizes that this country was discovered and set up by "internationals". It's sad how they treat us here. It is really sad... Somebody, please do me a favor.... ***CHANGE*** ( read. send him to the IRAQ as a soldier ) BUSH.

Hi:

I was going to address some of your questions. But since you state that all people in my chosen profession "suck" and know less than you, I shall refrain. I've never been one to correct people wiser than myself.

I dont even care anymore... thats my opinion. I Asked ( and paid ) about 20 lawyers for advices. NONE of them told me about the restrictions. I know i am f***ed up... but i am not giving up, I will be fighting for what I deserve :D

Slow down....angry man....

Mike,

I avoided answering your initial post, because never heard of anyone using a visitor's visa to go to School. First of all, it was a violation of your visa issuance conditions. The fact that you intended to convert to an F1 doesn't remedy your initial violation. :( If you went to about 20 lawyers, I would question your own competency and common sense, because if I visit two or three lawyers and find that their counsel is puzzling, will stop and not spend money on people whom I have suspicion about or their profession.

So, you acted like an idiot on this matter of consulting with 20 lawyers, which I am certain you did not do. How do I know? All the attorneys gave you correct counsel, but the issues is that you don't like what they told you. Any knowledgeable attorney should have told you what I mentioned in the second line of this response: you violated the law by going to school with your tourist visa. Since you are in school, you don't want to hear about this violation which you committed without anyone coercing you into this crap.

If you would like to get married so that you can remain in the United States, please go ahead. I am not endorsing you to clearly violate the laws of the US, the policy of USCIS is simple and straightforward: "thou shall not get married to evade the immigration laws". Anyone who gets married to evade the immigration laws shall be dealt with severely by the US govt, fined and even imprisonment, plus deportation after serving their time and permanently barred from ever visiting the United States.

No one is going to deny you the opportunity to get married so that you can remain in the United States indefinately, so you think. USCIS is going to search and find out your initial filing for your tourist visa, and all statements made to the US consulate officers abroad will be examined to ensure you didn't lie or procure your by misrepresentation. I suspect you proved strong ties to your home country, but you knew well you wanted to attend high school in the US, clearly deceiving the US consulate officers. ;) Listen, you should do what you feel is right and just for you, you and you alone...:p

In the meantime, once you get married and file for your immigration paperwork, please keep us posted, especially when USCIS stick you in the oven, but more importantly, when they are about to stick a fork at you when you are well-done...

I am yet to find what it is that you deserve in this case, which you are going to be fighting for... Please enlighten me, because I see no injustice done towards you by anyone, except that you placed yourself in a pickle... Mike... chickens will come home to roost. Continue to fight... bt I am yet to see what it is that you are fighting against or for...

I just want to get to a college of engineering. In my country, they don't provide any engineering schools like the U.S. does. I just want to learn! I will pay for my education in college but I want to get in and it. I am not going there becasue my parents want me to, i'm not going there because of someone else - it's my own dream to go there. I want to go there to get some skills that I can use when I return to my country someday and create a company/school/whatever to help people who don't have opportunity to come here , to the U.S. I didn't mean to do anything against the law in the U.S. - I just wasn't informed by the high school or the lawyers. I don't want abuse anybody becasue I don't know who's responsible for knowing all the laws, restrictions, and other regulations... I was enrolled in 11th grade in high school and they told me it's totally free and I can go there however long I want to.

People, i am not a murder!!! I am just an international kid who REALLY REALLY wants to get a good education in the U.S. ! I would love to get in a college of engineering or computer science fields. You don't even know how much I could give to just get in....

People who arrive here legally, decide to stay here and try to be in a good IMMIGRATION standing have worse life than ppl who live here illegaly.

Who knows any principals of colleges of engineering who would like to have a student who can enjoy any time spent in their university... ???

P.S. is it that hard to understand it ? I JUST WANT TO LEARN / STUDY ! I DONT WANT TO DO ANY CRIMES OR SMOKE WEED. I JUST WANT TO LEARN ENGINEERING SOOOOO BAD...

Understood...

Mike,

Desire doesn't trump the need to observe the laws of any country. :( As much as you would like to do engineering, the US govt isn't going to see it as innocous as you view it, because they are entrusted with enforcing the laws which are passed by US Congress.

I am sorry, I don't write laws or have a desire to enforce them, just observe them so that I can enjoy my life and my wife....:p

Smoking weed isn't illegal, especially if you turn to run for president of the US....:D

K, that was a bad example. I ment that i am not the one who drinks and drives every weekend or i dont get in any kinds of trouble.. understood ?

you are already in trouble - you broke the law. Saying that breaking the immigration law is not as bad as breaking the law while driving drunk does not make your violation simply disappear because you really-really-really want to go to school in the States. Good luck with everything!

Thank you. i actualy found a solution to solve it by myself. Hopefully, its gonna work. The college agreed...

AL:

You "suck"! Your advice just blows. Can't you understand that this guy just wants to study a bit of engineering??? I mean that is a constitutional right, never mind what all those irritating lawyers say. They "suck" anyway! I am pretty sure the U.S. government will see it his way - I am sure they will make an exception, because he is so ambitious and SO smart. Otherwise, it would be, like, totally unfair!

Sorry, I couldn't resist it Al, but you "suck." (lol)

Oh please guys, just let this guy "enjoy" the previledge of a GC to take advantage of the great college discount with his GC because ya'll know that international students pay full sticker price, but USC and GC get discounts; perhaps he could get a Stafford loan with super duper rediculous low rates.
Not to mention, hypothetically, he could just dust off after he got his B/S, i mean B.S. in Engineering, and never repay the Stafford! What a greatly engineered plan!! Get married, get GC, get discount on education, get the f--k out... wow, i feel so smart, i feel like i could be an engineer - an engineer of the greatest scam in US history. Who knows what he is going to do with his B/S, for all my paranoia, he could be aiding and abetting terrorists! Hey, he had a spot on his record, and he was about to get a second spot (attempting to evade immigration laws), can't blame me for being paranoid, right?

Okay, i will knock off my sarcasm and bad jokes; maybe I should see professional help for my paranoia :p

Seriously, B-visa to public high school and getting an F-1 and never have to pay a dime? I'd be damned. Last time I checked, B-visa is a tourist visa. And if I know my A-B-C [English], tourist means play, and play is not studying.

Anyone got the toll-free number to FBI and ICE? I'm too lazy to google it myself. Gonna give those hardworking agents a call to make sure they don't let a possible terrorist slip through the crack.

P.S. Okay guys, I promise I will give my shrink a call sometimes :p

It is legal to switch from B2 to F1 while in the U.S.

But I'm really surprized nobody told him about high school requirements for international students...

while it is legal to switch from B1 to F-1, he really had no B1 status to switch from, since he went to school here on B1.
