Expired visa issues.

is it possible to get a new visa or green card if the visa i already had is now expired? it expired in 2006. i want to be legal. what do i do?

if you are out of status, the only way to become legal again is to marry a US citizen or to get sponsored by your US citizen child who is over 21 years old.

thats the only option then? its no longer possible to be sponsored by an employer?

That is an option, but not for you since you are out of status.

yes you can sponsered be by an employer, but you must leave the country and get the visa granted in the US consulate in your home country.

Million dollar question is, would the US consulate grant a visa to someone who has over stayed?
