Eoir 42b visa availability for FY 2019

Did anyone had received a written prove from the court decision when verbally approved?

I didn’t. I’m trying to get some information from EOIR of how long more to wait tho get my GC. And make sure everything is right. They send me to the USCIS, I called USCIS I had to wait for an Imigration officer to call me back which didn’t answer my questions and send me back to EOIR, she said that I should even go to the EOIR to get the judges order from my final court. I tried to contact again the EOIR and nothing more that the pending info. I’m not even sure if it’s the same address that I should go since they transferred the ones with pending status to USCIS.

Based on my experience with verbal approval, I don’t think you will get anything. You will only get a granted letter when the judge officially grants your case. They only do that when a visa number is available and is assigned to you.

I also don’t think they know the exact processing time. Based on the updates here, it varies per state. We only get a sort of timeline whenever someone shares the updates on their respective cases. I haven’t read any grants recently so I’m assuming there’s no visa numbers left for this year- hoping I’m wrong. It will restart again in October. Hopefully you’ll be able to get good news then.

Again every case is different. Just basing it to my own experience and the others who posted here before and is finished with their GC journey.

Thank you very much for your answer! I was okay with that, since they said my case was closed on July 9 and none answer more than this was given to me.

The USCIS they are not even aware of my final court. I don’t know if this is normal. I’m afraid there are somethig do and ending up waiting ten years after verbal approved.

I’m waiting for a call for the second time from an Imigration officer from USCIS. It seams they going to set up an appointment for me.
I want to share with you guys because things are changing and I hope to not be worst.

Are you telling us that you was verbally granted ten years ago?? Or was you granted 9/1/22???

Hi everyone just wondering what do you think about my case. We got verbal approval on 4/22 but my husband work permit will expire this coming October to renew it we will need 1,500 do you think we should renew it or leave it and wait for the granted letter. Any advise please thanks .
Yes, renew it! We are 2/22 NY. My work authorization would have expired in January. I got the extension in December. Please remember you cannot request your renewal earlier than 3 months before it expires. I had just received my new employment authorization card yesterday. And geee I hope the next card I will receive will be my GC!

USCIS and EOIR are different entities altogether and to be honest all immigration offices are a dumpster fire when it comes to communicating between each other. This is why they have so many cases with people that were paroled for asylum and then lost in the system. My advice is always follow up yourself.

Hi Everyone,

I just want to share with you all that my journey has come to an end and I’m finally starting a new chapter. It was a long and a tough road that required a LOT of patience. I’m glad that it’s over. Thankful for this forum that has helped me so much especially when someone gives an update on their cases. Our cases are so hard to track that the only way to be able to get an estimate of what’s being processed is through each other’s experiences. So I’m paying it forward and sharing my timeline as well.

10/04/2021 - verbally approved in Newark, NJ
04/10/2025 - granted
08/19/2025 - card received

I wish you all the best and I trust that in God’s time you will all receive what you have been waiting for. Keep the FAITH and stay positive! There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. It will be all worth it! Take care.
