entering USA on visitor visa as a med student

I am currently an intern doctor in India and will be entering USA in two days on visitor visa , I have been offered shadowing a physician at a medical school's hospital. What should i say at Port of Entry if they ask me why are you here...Should i tell them the truth or should i say just on vacation..i will be staying for 2 months and have a return ticket too.. please respond immediately..its very urgent..

Your purpose for the visit (provided that you will NOT be paid anything) is an "observership" and is covered by the B-1 visa.
