Employment Authorization Ran Out

I'm shocked to just find out that my EAC (employment authorization card) being expired. I was so sure that it expires at the end of Feb. 2007, but apparently it was Jan. 2007. I'm worried if it will be harder to renew an expired EAC than renewing an EAC that hasn't expired yet.

Please let me know what I should. Thank you.

I am not sure, but interested to find out if you can file electronically now or not for renewal?

Can any one answer.. it might help speed things up by few days

Thank you two for taking your time and trying to answer my question :)

Anyone know the exact answer?

My EAC(employment authorization card) expired last month, and I was wondering if I'll have to go through the complicated stpes that I took in the very beginning to get it to reobtain it, or can I just simply renew even though it was expired?

Immiportal - I may be wrong, but I would think it will take the same 90 days to process your renewal. While your AOS is being processed, you have your EAD for work permit and you may extend it until you receive your GC, but you have to apply for a renewal much in advance before the EAD expires. The only option you now have I guess is to apply for a renewal for which I am not aware what the procedure is.

Good Luck... :)

no difference at all

it's not complicated. you just file another I-765 form with a copy of a notice of receipt for I-485.
