If the former employer hold your salary, which specific DOL agency I can go and complain.

Like if there are any wages problem in ON, the ministry of Labor handles that. Is it the same process here too?

Will appreciate your responses/help.

pro-employer?

I am talking about the wages not taxes etc.

I resigned from my past job, I wanted to use my sick days before my last day but my boss came and ask me to extend the last day and then use those sick days as they want me to work those specific days. I do have that in writing from HR. now they are saying that they will not pay me as they accept the first resignation not the modified one.

I can't do much so, I thought just to file the complain somwhere in labor department. I am in VA.

Thank you for your comments, but I really did not understand your comments at all.

What is pro employer means?

All I'm saying is that, since you mentioned the Ontario labour Ministry, not to expect the same level decisions in favour of labor vs. in favour (or "pro") employer.

You would be surprised how many cases that would be open and shut in favour of the employee in Canada, fall on the side of the employer in US.

It was not a comment on your case, since I don't know, nor care to know, the details of your case.

lucky for you, DOL is vigilant in cases that involves foreign workers. best is to talk to a lawyer who practices labor laws.
