Emotional interview ; decision cannot be made - NYC

When the io Cambell welcomed me i knew it would have been a tough one for me

I was prepared and ready with certified court disposition of my arrest in 2009 for patronizing and led guilty to misdemanor

Mr campbell , a tall african american io, went through the whole app including trips counts date stamps in passport and travel dates.
Then he repeated all questions in n400 and at the question "have u ever been arrested" i saud yes and i went into emotions and cried a bit

As he cntinued asking me qyestions i was still emotional and he offered me tissue and a bowaterof water

Passed with "aa" all tests and handed me a letter " decision cant be made" and said a supervisor had to look at it.

Does anyine knows mr campbell? How many chances ive to pass?

I gave him the original certified copy of court disposit so if i want to reapply how do i get a copu back?

Supervisory review id REQUIRED STANDARD PROCEDURE for anyone with any arrest. No big deal if the crime was very minor.

What exactly do you mean by "patronizing"? You don't mean patronizing/soliciting a prostitute, do you?
And which offense/charge exactly did you plead guilty to?

From past posts it was a charge of patronizing prostitute which was reduced to a disorderly conduct violation.

I see. The OP will probably be approved, but there is still some possibility of a discretionary denial on GMC grounds, depending on what exactly the OP said during the interview (I would imagine that admitting to soliciting a prostitute can be used as grounds for discretionary GMC denial even if the actual conviction was for a lesser charge).

i didn't say much re the record;

the first question the io asked was "do you have anything for me from the police"?
then i gave him the court certificate disposition original,notarized;
the IO was not sure if he needed the arrest report; but as i gave it to him he read it;
that is it; no questions re the arest

i also had a very well written letter from my boss saying im a good employee etc , but i
did not give it to him, OUCH!

i passed the civic and english test with "AA", then at the end of interview he asked me what part of
italy im from and i said north west, and i asked him back "ever you ever been to italy?" he said no, but ive been to uk, france etc

then he said , "if you did not have any problem with law id approve the application right now, but i will recommend it for approval to a supervisor"

i guess i ve 50/50 chances

Your chances are MUCH better than 50/50! It should not take long to review your case.

Keep your head up!!! It might take a little longer to get your oath letter but I agree other posters your chances are better than 50/50 .... Don't drive yourself crazy with the what "if's" ... Keep us posted and best of luck to you.
