Yeah... Where is everyone ???
Even though I got my approval 2 months back but I keep visiting this site as I am very keen to know what is the status quo of my forum mates.

Since EB2 dates got a big bump, we have hardly got any updates on this chain.:p

Toady I got reply from Senetor that have to wait for 6 months, Since my back ground check is still pending.

When i called them and explained about April Name Check memo, said that these checks are different from Name Check :eek: . Have to wait 90 days to do the one more enquire.:mad:

I am also in same boat. I got feedback from the IO a month ago mentioning that my namecheck is still pending. She mentioned that time that they are planning to clear all backlog before November end as per the 180 days rule.
Based on that I wrote letters to senator and congressman and also sent to Ombudsman. I have not received any reply from any one of them so far.
From your post I will not be any more positive to hear something new on my case from Senator or congressman or Ombudsman.
I will share once I hear something.Lets us hope for better.

Is the option for writting letter to First Lady for FBI namecheck is still working?
Have you tried that? I am thinking to do that NOW.
 
Sorry Imm and others. I started this thread but was not updating last 3 weeks. I went to India on emergency by using my AP, as my Mother has been diagonised having cancer by Doctors. I did not meet her for the last 6 years. Do you know what? She tonsiure her hair to Lord Venkatachalapathy requesting for my Green Card. She was asking me about this as first question when I met her in the first day. She upset when I said it is still pending. I started from India on July 23rd and was talking with my Mom early morning advising her to take care of her health and everything will be ok soon with her health. But she was telling me that I will get my GC soon. While I was talking with her, I was checking my email and surprised to see 4 emails from CRIS for me and my family with CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED for I-485 Adjustment of status. I screamed and hugged her and you all have to see her face with happiness. She blessed me again for my good future and I left India and arrived USA with hard feeling heart, as I was leaving my Mom in that condition and with little happiness for getting my Green signal in GC. I will update the list and the actions I did for the GC in next reply.

Good News

Dear Friends,
As I already informed in my previsous reply, I updated the list and provide you a little description about the steps in my process recently after my date became current.

I had applied two LCs in EB3 and EB2 petitions from the same employer per Rajiv's suggestion, as my Employer applied in EB3 by mistake even I was eligible for EB2. In June 2007, per Rajiv's Office advice we applied I-485 by using my EB3 date for EB2 which was permitted by law.

I remember by April 2008, my PD date became current. I called USCIS and talked with IO and listed below the replies I got every time. I called them every 15 days

1st time - Your PD became current and have to wait for 90 days.
2nd time - Your PD is current but your I-485 process time is not out of time
3rd time - Attorney Rajiv's office received a reply that my NC is pending
4th time - I received a reply that even my RD is June 18th, USCIS will go with ND which was July 16th. So my I-485 date was not current.
5th time - Attorney Rajiv's office received a reply that my NC is cleared.
6th time - Again same reply as my ND is not current
7th time - Even my ND became current I need to wait for 60 days.

During all the above enquiries USCIS representatives or IO never replied about my EB3 and EB2 combined together.

In the mean time, I sent a request through Senator John McCain's office and I received a weird reply from his office stating that USCIS replied to them that my I-485 is based on EB3 and not EB2.

I checked with Rajiv's office and they sent me a draft by quoting the section under which law we combined both EB3 and EB2 and applied in EB2. I sent another letter senator office by mentioning this and did not get any response and I bugged senator's office and they said, I have to wait for 30 days. Mean time I visited India without any hope. Per my another request Rajiv's office also contacted me through email stating that we can expedite it back to EB2, as my EB2 date itself current by August 1, if I do not get any response from Senator's office. I lost my hope and on July 23rd before I leave India I checekd my email and found GC for me and family got approved.

I thanks Imm and all you friends for your moral support and wishes that you all gave me to get this. I thank Rajiv's office and Senator John McCain's Office to make me to get this GC.

I wish every one to get the GC soon and will pray God for them every day.

My hearty congratulations to you and your Amma.

You are lucky to have a mother like that, thinking about you and your future even in that condition also.

My advice to you that once you get your card, visit and show her your Green Card. Now you are free bird to travel.

Spend as much time as you can with her. You went only for 3 weeks (understood the peoblem with employer and all stuff).

Enjoy your green and pray for us also.

Congratulations SAI_GIVE_GC2005. Hope your mom also recovers quickly... this news might be the right tonic for her to recover soon.

Keep your chin up and do visit your mom again soon. 6 years wait to go home without seeing your family is torturous by any means. Time is the essence here....

Received Card

Dear All,

As I mentioned earlier, USCIS orderered production of card on July 21, 2008. I am very surprised while checking my mail box yesterday (July 26, 2008). We received our cards and approval notices in 5 days :D

I wish and pray God for every one to get their GC soon.

Please accept our hearty congratulations - from me and my family. I have been keeping my wife informed about your GC journey and she was very happy when I just informed about your getting Green Cards.

My prayers are now for your mother who WILL recover with GOD's blessings and the good news you gave her in person. Our family of four was also in Tirupati in the first/second week of July and we will be back soon in the USA.

You are the best judge of your circumstances, but see if you can bring your MOM to the US at least for a few weeks.

Good luck to you and your family for a 'wonderful' life after becoming permanent residents of the US. Here's wishing the 'GREEN' very soon to every one else on this thread as well as others waiting.

I got approval notice sent to me in Jun and my spouse got approval notice sent (e-mail) today. Sorry, I could not post my self all these days, because I had a problem in opening my account. My details are in my signature

Question

My son is in India now. He is in F1. But he visited and planning to come back using AP. Since Green card has been approved for him also, will it be a problem to show AP at POE. I am little scared to send his Green Card through mail or courier. Please suggest. Thanks
 
No problem. Your son can easily come in US using his AP. Many have done this before.. no issues. Do NOT mail his GC to India otherwise he might face issues at the POE.

Security checks pending

I called yesterday using POJ method, IO told me that my case pending because security checks are still pending. When i asked Name Check and Security checks are same , she said "NO".

When i asked how long it takes do the Security checks , she replied no time frame. May be Month or May be 2 Years.:mad:

Any one heard like this " Security Checks Pending " ??:eek:
