EB1 Outstanding Research Tracker

no news yet following FP2.

Hi ,
Nothing yet. the LUD is still that of last year for FP1. Last year, it took them 5 days to get back the results for FP1. The trend has been that we see some change 2 months after the approval of the I-140. You never know.
just waiting patiently and hoping for the best.

I-140 Approved

I just got the e-mail for my approval. It is a bit of relief for me since the sponsored company went out of business. No change in I-485 LUD. It is processed ahead of USCIS published date. My LUD before today was 7/14/04 and that time LUD changed for I-485 and EAD as well. After reading several posts, it was concluded that the LUD change was due to the change of address. I don't know if that triggered the approval or the ead. Our fingerprints are expiring on 21st of August. I hope that they would approve I-485 without us having to go again for the 2nd fingerprinting. I feel as if I have graduated with I-140 and still have to pass the I-485 exam.

According to the approval pattern for kxw, I predict that mzgh, slipj, and ea_ead will get approvals in a short while !!! Also CosmicDream will be in days !!!

SO, there was no change on the OnLine status ? Do you have an account to login into the USCIS site and check your case ? Has your LUD been updated ?

I did not have my I-485 receipt number so I could not check my on-line status. I found out about the approval when the lawyet sent the approval papers in the mail. By the way,I have a question, in the papers it is said that I have to go to Newark,NJ to get tthe I-155 signed or something.But I moved to California, in june. Do I have to go to Newark,NJ or can I go to the local office here in CA? Do you have any idea?

I remember that someone has posted info about calling FBI to check the FP reviewing result. Is there anyone who has done this recently? May you share the experience and info again, say what will be the phone number or what will be the feedback we can get?

I saw several 2FPs in the list in the past month or so. I knew that the LUD may change but the content of the online status never. I believe the content only gets updated for the first FP. Is it a good idea to call FBI to learn about the reviewing status?

I talked about this scenario with my lawyer, in case I move before 485 approval. He said that

1) when you move, you file a notification (or call USCIS on the phone, dont remember). Have you notified them ?

2) According to my lawyer, even after you notify them you moved, USCIS might decide to keep the 485 processing in the original processing center (vermon for us), or the may decide to transfer it to the center corresponding to your new address.

So, my feeling is,

a) if you did 1) above, you can call the uscis 1800 number and ask what to do

b) you may prefer to just make the trip if you get cheap tickets. If you ask for case transfer to california, who knows how long it will take

This is just my feeling, I hope you can get better advise from your attorney (yeah yeah, I know it is easier to talk to the Pope in Rome than to your lawyer across the street)

Oh, and BTW, moving from NJ to CA is a no brainer, no one can blame you :cool:

(thanks for helping with the tracker)

I would really stay away from the FBI. Unless some has really firm, solid info advising otherwise, and this should be your lawyer. Chances are, you can screw up. FBI may not want to release any info in any case, I totally doubt that calling them will speed up things in any way, and I could think of many reasons why this call could screw up your case. May be they will wonder why you are calling, may be they think you are afraid they will discover "something about you". You know.

Plus, 99.9% or so of the FBI checks go through ok as far as I know ....
