What a great Xmas gift ! Congratulations the most !

I really don't want to be the champion ... but Steelers still keep the winning streak .... I would like to give away my champion to them ....

I may call again for one more enquiry... since last time it was 11/12.... Will it work? Hope they have not yet call days off for Xmas...

Yes, go for it, I seem to recall that when you start the inquiry they tell you "you should here from USCIS withihn one month". If they haven't sent you anything within a month, you hsould be good to call them !

I hope yours comes through very soon.

Just for information, my attorney made a written status inquiry on Oct 22nd and followed up Nov 22nd. In addition, I made a telephone inquiry on Dec 1st. Finally, I contacted my Congresswoman's immigration specialist (who I had spoken to some time ago) last Tuesday and she also made a telephone inquiry. I don't know whether any or all of these made the difference, or whether it was just my time.

I know it must be extremely painful to wait more, but do not lose heart and keep following up with phone calls and whatever means you can and you should be through soon. I hope that you will get your X Mas/New year gift as well!!

Here is a RFE for my case.
"On December 13, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Now My question; why RFE now. Does this mean that they did not touch my case even after my first case inquiry? They replied my first inquiry by sending a notice saying to wait for some days. For two years they sit on my application. I have no idea what additional information they need. I think the package is complete by itself. Now waiting to see the notice.

A confusing question -- need help

Is it possible that the dependents get I485 approved before the primary's? What will happen if the dependents get an interview at local office while the primary's case is still pending with VSC?

Any experience or info on this?

Hi Agroy. I understand your frustration. Most likely it is a trivial RFE at this point. My lawyer said that at this point you can expect an RFE to check silly things like employment, etc., nothing serious. On the bright side, this may finally trigger approval. Try to respond quickly.
