485 approved today

I was surprised to receive the INS notice today that both my wife and my 485 cases (RD: 5/27/03) were approved. My 140 EB1-OR was just approved last week.

My 140 RD: 4/30/03. My wife and I did our 1FP in April 2004. I think that our FP is current is important for our immediate 485 approval.

I know how lucky I am considering so many people ahead of me are still waiting. Hope you all have good news very soon.

I can finally go back to visit my parents now. Cheers!

Congratulations!. It is really great news. My I-140 was approved the same day (8/6/04) as you. There were two LUD changes on my I-485 this week but nothing happens yet. Did you notice LUD changes on ur I-485 bofore its approval? Hope I will get my I 485 approved soon too.

I don't have any LUD change until today I saw the 485 approval. My last LUD was May when INS received my 1FP. INS never updated my wife's finger print though, which worried me a little bit in the beginning.

I think your approval is on the way since your FP is current. Good Luck!

New Processing Times Out 8/18

Hi All

USCIS Processing Times were updated again yesterday. Unfortunately VSC EB1-OR remains unchanged at November 1st 2002.

I am beginning to think there is a conspiracy to stop me making an official status enquiry (my ND is Oct 10 2002). More worryingly, did VSC move it forward to Novermber 1st so that everyone with an EAC022XXX number (up to Sep 30 2002) is entitled to make status enquiries? Is the date going to remain the same until they have caught up?

No progress for my I-485 because my finger print had long been expired. No second notice recived yet.

It was a great pleasure to know so many un-seen friends in this thread.

Congratulations Colormix. Keep an eye on your mail box. You should get a notice for FP2 2 weeks after approval.

When will my turn come?

I am so jealous of you guys who got approvals. I received RFE in May and replied in July. The RFE reply was received on July 13. No news so far. No change on LUD which is July 14. Do you guys have any idea when I would be relaxed? Cheers,

Don't worry. If you look at their pattern, approval time from RFE response receipt to approval is in the 3 to 9 week range (they do need to respond by 90 days anyway by law ).
 
I am jealous too. :( And worried. Because I have changed my job. I am lucky that my previous employer didn't withdraw my EB1-OR application. But I am worried that if I get an RFE, I will be dead.

Did you start your new job on H1B visa or on EAD card from your pending I140 (OR) petition? Did your previous employer cancel your H1B visa?

I am asking that since I got layed off while still waiting for I140 OR approval. My previous employer agreed not to withdraw my I140 petition, but they said that they are cancelling my H1B visa with them.

I found and started a different job using my EAD card while new employer is working on transferring my H1B visa to them. I just worry if cancellation of H1B visa will somehow affect pending I140/I485 petitions. Any thoughts on that?
