No status inquiry. Just for your info, I called my attorney (Sheela Murthy's office) and they told me that they received two approvals yesterday of NIW one from oct 2003 and another from march 03. It seems that they are random. Hopefully, you will get yours soon. This time VSC is serious to reduce the backlog and I feel that EB1 should be the fastest of all (as it used to be).

I opened my e-mail box this morning and saw the e-mail notice from INS. My 140 got approved!! It seems that VSC is moving very fast for EB1-OR now.

Congratulations! Another good news to give us more hopes .... VSC is moving forward, or, jumping forward .... Hope it won't jump pass me .... How are those cases in between?
 
I-485 Approved as well

Thank God. My I-485 got approved today, two days after I-140 approval. FP was expiring soon. I hope everyone gets their approvals fast. Thank you everone for keeping this forum alive.

Since I changed employer, I did not bother to submit I-485 but quickly submitted again with my new employer.

Congratulations! All those lucky ones .... It comes close to me .... my LUD is 8/6/04 (tody) but nothing changed, what it means? .... they touched my file, at least ... Finger crossed .....

So your first OR with your previous employer still got approved eventually? How did you make sure they didn't withdraw it after you left? Also, when you mentioned you submitted the application with same materials the second time, are they really mean the "same" materials?

Shortly after I submitted the 1st OR application myself ( Yes, I did myself with the permission of my previous employer, around ~120 employee), I realized I could lost job in 6~8 months (I consulted this forum at the time) and I quickly changed job. I left them on a very friendly term, plus I do not think they know much about immigration. Thus, they never did anything with it. In fact, they tried to located me and sent me the approval notice in the Spring.

My current employer has its own lawyer. I sent her copies of my 1st application. She was concerned that the recommendation letters and other materials were not original. I could get them but it takes too long. As a compromise, I tried to get the CVs of those people who wrote the letter for me. I had most of them at the time just did not include them in my 1st application.For a couple of them I do not have, I just got the bio-information from Web. The lawyer did get a new cover letter from the HR (I wrote the one for my 1st application) and changed the presentation format. But the materials are exact same and a lot of them are only copies (She did send me a copy of applications of both I-140 and I-485 after filing).

Thank you very much! I heard people sending copies of recommendation letters instead of orgional letters in multiply I140 applications, but your case is the first one I know that got approved ...

I also received email saying my I-140 is approved today. I think they approved it Friday but didnt have time to send out email, so there was LUD change but no change in message. This morning at 8:30 pm, I got an email saying my I140 is approved ... what a relief ... Thanks God!

Hope my I485 will get approved soon too, as I see some of you guys get them approved at the same time ....

For all the I140 approvals since July, how many have their I485 approved too? How many are stilling waiting? My I485 LUD changed but nothing happened ..... Pray they will approve it, dont leave it there ....
 
Here's my info added:

I-485 ND : 11/25/02
1st FP : 3/20/03

My LUDs still show 12/23/02 for all cases. I've had 2 sets of AP and EADs for me and my wife but nothing ever seems to get updated online in my case. Guess the FPs have expired so back to the waiting game.
