Hi

This immigration system is broken

I have waited for 8 months for advanced parole and longer for work autho

A notice of action should double for automatic advanced parole and work autho

I applied for I 485 two days before my L2 expired and was stuck in the US until the advanced paraole came through

As the advanced parole only lasted one year it took 5 months on the second appliction

During your 8 Mo. wait for AP, did you follow-up with the USCIS on the petition and if yes, what was the response.

My wife and son's AP renewal petition has ND of 1/3/2006 and they have not received approval. I am worried if we will get the AP in time for our scheduled travel in July.

Yes, I followed up on two occaisons

They were not very helpful at all. They told me not to make any travel plans until the advanced parole came through

It seems the toll free number is almost a complete waste of time and cost to the USCIS

You normally only get to speak to a clerk, if you are lucky they then put you through to an immigration officer but they do not have access to your actual case. It seems they only read off the screen

I applied for paper EAD3 to VSC in 12/27/05. After 40+ days it was transfered to Atlanta in 2/9/06. After almost 90 days I got LUD but no message change in 3/25/06. This week, I was planning to take 1 day of to go to Atlanta (6 hours one way) to collect iEAD.

I am praying, this LUD is not RFE.

Hi,
I applied for EAD/AP renewal , has a RD Dec 29th and RD Jan 3rd. So far it has not been approved. Had 2 lud changes on Jan 27 th and March 3rd. I ts my 4 th ead.

I'm still waiting...I called yesterday about my I-765 renewal and the lady said it is still pending.

just check on-line status, I and my wife's EAD were approved today (03/28/06). The AP (submitted with EAD at the same time) just updated again, no new message given. Hopefully, within next two weeks, AP will be approved.

The message just mention that "an approval notice was mailed". No information about when the card will be ordered and mailed. Any information to share is appreciated!

EAD approved on 03/28/06...finally!

Looks like they are making it a policy to wait until a few days are left to reach the 90 day period!
 
EAD renewal - advice

I had just applied for my EAD renewal before 2 months of its expiry.
What are my options if I don't get my new EAD card before my existing one expires.
I have already started using EAD.
Can I keep working till i get approved?
How long is it taking for EAD renewal to get approved in VSC?

I dont know if renewals are treated differently, but my first time EAD got approved in 4 weeks at VSC

My EAD got approved on 04/04/06. Spouse case also is approved.

Details of both applications:

VSC - EAD Renewal # 3.
RD - 01/23/06
ND - 01/24/06
Last Update on - 03/06/06
AD - 04/04/06. :cool:

EB3 - PD 08/12/03.

No news on AP yet.
 
Both mine and my spouses EAD petitions have been approved yesterday.
RD: 01/24/06, ND: 01/27/06, AD: 04/05/06
Last update date before approval was 03/06/06.
