My RD on the NOA is 05/02/05 while the ND is 05/27/05.
When I check my status online, it says "Your XXX Application was received on May 27, 2005...It is taking between xxx and xxx days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete"
The question is whether this is what you guys are experiencing too? That is, the online status description points to the Notice Date and NOT the Receipt Date.
If that is true, does the clock for USCIS start from the "Notice Date"?

On the online message I believe it states the the notice date as the "your application received date". My I-130/I-485/I-765 all shows such case. So you shouln't be worried about that.
As far as I know the clock is supposed to start form the notice date. BUT for user (Qdude 5/1/2005: Receipt Date,,, 5/26/2005: Notice Date,,, 6/24/2005: EAD Approved) .
I guess from this instance and other in the table you can see it is taking 2 months approximately after RD. This is just a wishful thinking and hope this is truly yhe case.
Hopefully you will get your EAD e-mail aproval this week. If not then I guess I am not sure what is the case.

p.s For interim EAD the clock starts from the received date no the receipt.

Does family based EAD c(9) have an applicant number? ( I am talking about an applicant number not the receipt number)
On my EAD receipt it only has my name under the Applicant box, whereas for I-485/130 it has Applicant nymber and receipt number.

Thank you for your earlier reply to my post.

This is the same case for me too. That is, have an applicant number for 131/485, a benificiary number for 130 and just my name on 765. I hope that we are referring to the same number ( Alien Registration number) The number starts with an "A" followed by 8 or 9 numeric digits.

Regarding AP??

Does anyone know what can be done if AP (I-131) is not recieved by 90 days? What if I need to travel?

This is a thread for EAD related timeline based on family category c(9). Please be thoughtful of this and limit your question/responses to his matter. Please do not post question regarding AP / or other unrelated matters in this thread...as there are other threads dealing with this issue.
If you do have other issues question you want to ask, you can personally pm me and I'll try to answer those.
I am trying to keep this thread as clean as possible and only related to the subject matter and your help will be very much appreciated.

Just checked my status online and also received an e-mail from USCIS on the approval of EAD and AP!! :D
So, EAD and AP approval email date: 06/28/2005. Around 57 days from RD...seems to be following the pattern that is emerging from your tracking list.

Congratulations! Your RD is almost the same as mine, I will have FP shortly, so things are looking good. Hoping for approval around 7/6/05...

User eggk should have received his EAD by now...Haven't heard from him yet. Let us know if you have any updates

Ema,

I see from your time line that your FP is scheduled for July 7, How did you get your EAD approved before FP? Did you go to the office ?

For applications I-485, I-131 and I-130, here's my status

Appl Mailed: June 14
Appl recvd: June 16
ND: June 27
Money Order cashed: June 28
DO: Los Angeles

We did not apply for EAD but I wanted to post our appl info hoping you would start tracking APs and final 485 approvals as well.

I did not go to any office. I just saw in my portfolio (case status online) that the last update for the I-765 is today's date. I did not know that the FP have to be done before receiving the EAD ????

Thanks Ema. I thought FP needed to be done before EAD....definitely before they send it to you...because EAD doc has your FP on it... Anyway Congratulations. So I think you may recieve your EAD as soon as you get your FP done on July 7th.

User couch...your case is a dielemma...don't know any advice i might give...just wait for five more days and go get your interim EAD. I did my FP at a different state ASC too. Hope that doesn't cause any delays.( it was easier to go the out of state DO thatn the DO in my state)

This thread will be for tracking family based EAD only. I'll try to make a tracker for AP in a different thread. SO please keep your postings/info/inputs to family based EAD mailed to NBC only.

6/01/05 sent package family base to a USC
6/03/05 received by Chicago Lockbox USCIS, USPS notice/online too.
6/21/05 checks cashed
6/23/05 receipts from USCIS
6/24/27/28/ attemps to make FP&Bio app. :eek:
6/29/05 appointment made for Aug 10 in AL :) . ATL is full and moving apparently. I don't know, but here in the south things are getting more time than in the norht apparently.

It will be good to know where people get the appointments for FP& Bio since that depends the next steps and if the ASC is full in the area you are in, is hard to move your case further.

EAD and FP

I do not think EAD approval requires FP. I got my EAD 5 months before I even got an FP notice,

It seems that everywhere the appointment is booked for 42 days. It might be a trick USCIS is playing to keep up with their mystery or may be thats really the case. SOme people have been able to get walk-in FP/BIO done. Others have taken appointments in nearby states asc where a drive or flying is possible.
Also EAD might get approved before FP/BIO is done but you can't get the card itself (in case of family based I-765) because they require the BIO as far as what is being reported n these forums. So if possible try to get an early FP/BIO only if you need EAD pretty soon.
As far as the AOS adjudication that usually is a a lot later after your FP/BIO (in almost all DO except a few like Dallas, Jacksonville etc) a nd it is atleast more than 22 month in your case for Atlanta DO as they are processing Aug 03 as of Jun 05.
I guess thats all I can write to you about now.

zoomz00m, terrific job.

Here's my update:
Received email on 7/1/05 stating that EAD approved on 6/30/05 and card will be mailed out. :cool:

So it looks like all they have been waiting for was the FP/BIO.

This makes it 63 or 64 days since the packet has been mailed, depending on which date you use.
