EAD process takes 3 months now

The EAD application process used to be 1 month under c8 (asylum applicant) but it takes 3 months now.

I recently renewed my C8 EAD at CSC. The application had pending for 45 days then I called the customer service center and the renewal got approved about 2 weeks later. There's a similar situation on my mom's case.

I checked the USCIS website tonight and found that the processing time for EAD on all service centers show 3 months.

You are correct. USCIS website says it takes 3 months to prcess C8 EAD.
I think they changed it because they knew that I am filling for it this week (just kidding).

The fist EAD is usually approved within 4 weeks and the renewal takes a little bit longer but keep in mind that you can applied for the renewal as early as 4 moths before the expiration date.

I get the feeling that you're generalizing on this issue. I'm pretty sure that the cases differ from person to person. I've heard of people who've had their EAD approved within 14 days.

My EAD has been pending for over 4 weeks now. I though it takes only 4 weeks for the first EAD C8 category.

I applied for it before I got the recommended approval.
What should I do?

I received my first EAD 10 days after approval. In fact, it arrived before the approval letter. I think it varies depending on simple circumstances.

Honestly, looking at the processing times is a waste of time. Just put in the application and hope for the best and expect the worst. The timelines are never consistent. Some people are getting approved in two months and others are waiting for over two years especially for their GC.
