Current Status
- Application : I'm the primary applicant
- I-140 : Approved
- I-485 : Pending and more way more than 180 days ( since 2007 )
- H1-B : Maintaining and used in my last/recent job
- EAD : Possess, expiring later next year
- Spouse : Spouse part of my application as dependent
- Spouse's EAD : Possess, expiring later next year
- Spouse's H1-B : Working on H1-B, filed from her employer
I got laid off last month from my job. I was told the following
- Given that I've my EAD, I don't have to worry that much - Yes/No ?
- At the time, I joined them doing a transfer of my H1-B and I was told that I could still do a transfer of my H1-B, with in an year, if I want to or, use my EAD to join a new employer. Given the current situation, I think I've a better change of using my EAD, than expecting an H1-B transfer. Any issues ?
- Is there any other issue that I should expect, given my current job loss ?
Thanks.
