EAD, AP & FP status for May, 2001

Interim EAD
Went to San Jose at 3.30 am and stood in the line.We were # 66.There is a roach coach which comes at 6:00am they sell coffee, donuts etc.There are some make shift restrooms too.....not too clean though !!!!!!!Make sure to wear warm clothes and closed shoes...can get pretty chilly and get folding chairs/newspapers to sit on.The office opened at about 7:15 and we were in at apporx.7:45.The officer called my number at about 10.00 am, ok\'ed everything and gave me a bunch of papers ( i had taken photocopies of my EAD & 485 receipts)which i had to put in a tray,in the EAD area. I was soon called for a photograph, i also had to fingerprint my right hand index finger. I was asked to wait in the waiting area and about 10 mins later i had my interim EAD.There was no fees what so ever.
This is a very simple procedure dont understand why it takes the INS 120 days to do it????????????
IMP: the San Jose INS serves only people from San Jose,Santa Clara,Monterey & San Bentino counties. People from Alameda need to go to SFO....

I took both my originals and a photocopy of the 485 & EAD reciepts.I gave the officer photocopies of the same......i carried the originals just in case(its not necessary)You also need a photo id...its better to take your passport coz it has your H1 on it....

Got AP- When do I get papers ?
checked my AVM yesterday, and AP got approved for me and my wife.
Approval Date: Aug 10.
Carter, please update my WAC NO: 01-235-xxxxx
How long does it take to get the AP papers ?
Does lawyer get it or are they sent directly to our home ?

Please add ND to this table. Here are some of the reasons to add it to this table..
. 1. For the benefit of those who are waiting for receipts.   If you include RD and ND then only one can see how long it took for INS-CSC to issue receipts in the month of May. Since this slowdown started in the month of May, members in this thread have that valuable information. Since every one in this thread got receipts (as the title says "Waiting for AP/EAD/FP/AD"
and you want to say I/We don\'t care for those who are waiting for receipts! Then think again! If every one who got their green cards also thought about the same then you don\'t have "ciba\'s" tracking list, on the same lines why should some one tell you that they got any thing like AP/EAD etc. I mean, once they got it they should not care right? I am sure you don\'t hate people who are waiting for receipts! If it\'s me, the information I created on the web helps some more people then I will be very happy to go that extra step to do that. 2. "RD has more correlation with EAD/AP/FP" may not be a 100% true statement!   Probably INS-CSC may not even know what they based upon but their JIT report is based on ND though! Yes, there are few dead lines and if INS doesn\'t issue by then (like for EAD 90 days and AOS 180 days) few things get triggered based on RD, but I think ND is also very important piece of information! I know I-140\'s get issued based on ND (somewhat), rather than RD. If you see other threads there is lot of speculation about FPs saying that it depends on A number or First character of the last name etc. and as I wrote earlier no one is certain that based on what they issue these things and what is the order. Do you know that WAC number has very close relation with ND? 3. While summarizing the information in the thread why do you want to drop some of it?   If the main objective of summary is to put it all together then why do you want to drop part of it? By the way I haven\'t seen any one on the internet who was talking about any kind of summary/table related to immigration information but didn\'t include ND in it! Do you have any specific reason to drop that?

For your No. 1 reason:

There are ohter threads for receipts tracking purpose. The thread for here is more focus on EAD/AP/FP. Please see the discuss topic. Of course I hope everyone can receive their receipts as soon as possible and DON\'T forget I am the one who maintain the May receipt tracking thread to date.
