e-file or paper app?

Since e-filing has an extra step of biometrics, does it take longer to get processed than a paper app?
This is for EAD.
Thanks in advance for the replies.

processing time is the same as per USCIS dates. It is up to you

In my case it was much quicker with e-filing. Though they took a couple of weeks to schedule the biometrics, things moved really fast after that. A couple of my friends who did paper based during the same time frame from the same service center, experienced longer wait time.

I efiled EAD renewal and got it approved in 110 days after putting service request, infopass and fax to NSC.

I paper filed my spouse EAD renewal received on 25th Sep at TSC and got it approved in less than 30 days on Oct 20th. No biometrics etc.
