Yes. Just be aware it could take anywhere between 4 to 10 weeks to get the payment receipt. Thanks! And for the DV fee, can that also be paid anytime after my CN becomes current?

1. You can write it as it appears on your passport.Hi, I am currently on F1 STEM OPT and in the process of filling out Form I-693 and had a few questions I’d like to clarify with you:
1. First Name (Hyphenated): My first name is hyphenated. Should I write it exactly as it appears on my passport (with the hyphen), or should I replace the hyphen with a space?
2. A-Number: I have a STEM OPT EAD card. On the card, there is a number (xxx-xxx-xxx) after “USCIS#.” Is this considered my A-Number, or should I leave the A-Number section blank?
3. USCIS Online Account Number: I have a USCIS online account, and I noticed a “USCIS Online Account Number” in the documents from my EAD submission. Is this the correct number to use on Form I-693?
Thank you for your guidance on these points. Let me know if you need more information from me!
Sorry for intervening, why did you decide to do CP while holding F1 and residing in US? I just in the same situation. thank youYes Susie, I mean October. It's Kathmandu Consulate. KCC emailed me that I need to contact consulate to update the 260 as they cannot do it now since the CN is scheduled.
If they have procedure to do this, can I possibly email them and ask them to transfer ?
I am a student and I'll have to leave my semester entirely to give interview and fly back to the USA.
Hi mom, thank you for your clarification. Adding to my question about my hyphenated first name, does the same guidance also apply to Forms I-485, I-765, and I-131? I've heard that USCIS systems sometimes might not process hyphens consistently (hyphen being dropped on green card) but wanted to confirm with you. Thank you!1. You can write it as it appears on your passport.
2. You can list it as your A#.
3. Yes.
Just fill out your forms as your name appears on your passport and let USCIS figure out how to process it on their own would be my recommendation.Hi mom, thank you for your clarification. 1. US based income if available.Hi,
I am in the process of completing Form I-485 and have a few questions:
- Annual household income – Since I am currently on OPT and running my own LLC but not yet earning income, should I indicate “0,” or do I need to include dividends or other income from outside the U.S.?
- Total value of household assets – Am I required to report assets held outside the U.S.?
- Financial sponsor – If I have a sponsor, will I still need to provide my own financial documents to substantiate dividends, my property outside US?
- No U.S. income – Will not having any income in the U.S. affect my chances of approval, considering that there are 4 of us with indication of in income: $0-27,000??
Thank you very much for your guidance.
Providing an updated response to the above question in addition to the previously provided below responseThank you. So, if I understood correctly, in assets I should include the sum of all of my assets, but I don't need to provide anything else regarding this matter. Just the I-134 + supporting documents of the sponsor. Is this correct? Sorry if I'm repeating myself, but I want to check I understand this clearly so I don't screw anything. Thank you.
AFAIK, the focus of the I-485 is on US based assets and liabilities as it is a form that can only be submitted by someone who is already in the US. The truth of the matter is if non-US based assets and liabilities are required, most folks will list their non-US based assets (which may not easily be liquidated as a matter of fact), while excluding their non-US liabilities just to look good.
Shouldn’t be an issue.Hi Mom,
Just preparing for my I-485. I have a copy of my old old EAD (F1 OPT) but I seem to have lost the EAD itself. Do you forsee this to be a problem in the future? I have documentation (both my F1 and the OPT approval letter) proving I maintained status the entire time, but I cannot seem to find my EAD.
FYI i am no longer on OPT, I am on H1B now, so this is super old.
You may try and see if the system lets you submit the address change.Hello, i'm trying to report my change of address in USCIS portal. I used to have an USCIS account when I had F-1 visa and OPT but when i moved to H1B i am no longer using it. Should i still use the same previous account for address reporting ?
You may not be using it but the account should still be accessible. If you’re using the same email it won’t let you create a new account with it.Hello, i'm trying to report my change of address in USCIS portal. Thank you. I'm planning to create a new USCIS account with my other personal email. this USCIS account will also be used for DV26' applications. Is this the right thing to do ?You may not be using it but the account should still be accessible. If you’re using the same email it won’t let you create a new account with it.
You can, but why wouldn’t you just use the old one? May be easier to have everything in one place when you are gathering info for the DV application.Thank you. i thought i should not be using the old one (with my university email address) because I didn't use it for my h1b application when i went from f1 to h1b status. Old account was used with opt so I thought i'd might create confusions to USCIS but i might also be wrong. You can, but why wouldn’t you just use the old one? Oh, it’s a different email address that you no longer have access to?Will try thanks

I still have access to it since may 2023 but it's affiliated to my university and might someday lose access to itOh, it’s a different email address that you no longer have access to?
