DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

I sent the AOS package last week to the Elgin lockbox but haven’t received any text message or email. I therefore called USCIS yesterday, and they provided me with a receipt number. When I enter this receipt number in the USCIS Check Case Status Online, it says:

On July 17, 2025, we received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

A receipt notice has been sent, but I haven’t received it yet (I guess it’ll take like 2-3 weeks). That said, does having a receipt number mean that my application has been accepted (I used early filing)? Or is a receipt number also issued when the application is rejected?

Yes. Receipt # does not get issued for a rejected package.

p.s. did you include form G-1145 with your package?

So, can I confirm that my AOS package is safe from early filing rejection? The cashier check has been cashed as well. I did not submit any G-1145 form. Do you think this is why I haven't received any confirmation emails or text messages?
 
This morning, my USCIS portal has updated to " New card is being produced" Does it mean my case is approved and background check done? Am I getting green card soon? I still cant believe it. I will share about my complicated status and my case process later today.

1. Yes the package is safe from rejection due to early. It however is not currently safe from denial due to early filing.
2. Yes. You will not receive a text or email acceptance notification message if you did not include form G-1145.

Is this now a Field Office’s decision regarding the denial because of early filing? I’ve attached a cover letter about the early filing policy, do you think the Elgin lockbox will forward that letter to the Field Office?

Yes. Maybe.
This is all explained in the FAQ tab of the AOS process spreadsheet. I suggest you take a look at it. Also, please number your questions when you have more than one person post.

Sounds great! 1-Did your IO requested an expedite in the interview? 2- Did you make any specific follow up about your case?

Hello. I don't understand something about early filling. Whether they reject the package or deny it for early filling, can the person send the package again once it is current?

Correct. Go through the FAQ tab of the AOS process spreadsheet to learn more about early filing.

Not quite, as long as you’ve not done anything to violate your current status for example by dropping out of school, or working with an AOS based EAD, or traveling out and returning to the US with an AP card, after filing for AOS.

No, They did not request nothing.
Yes, I contacted to my congress woman after 15 days of filing date because of the residency change deadline from my school.

Our Interview has been scheculed with my wife.

Do we need to bring copy of I-485 for each?

2. Form I-134 is not filed with USCIS in support of family based sponsorship. You might want to get your sponsor to clarify exactly what it is they filed with USCIS.

For form I-134, part 3 question 13. How would I fill this? I am an F1
