You will not be scheduled for an infopass, you do not meet the criteria. Your case is still within the reported processing time for your FO, so be patient.

Hello Mom,

I am running out of hope. My number became current in October 2024, docs received in November 2024, fingerprints done in December 2024... and no update since. Chicago FO. I called a lawyer someone recommended and they only told me that before USCIS recognizes anything they send them and takes under consideration it will be several months. Does speaking to USCIS make any sense now? What is the best course of action? Thanks!

Good morning, I sent ALL paperwork in my AOS package.I had my Biometric appointment 2 weeks ago. Everything was going well. This morning I checked on my USCIS on line account and saw a new notice : my I-485 was denied. How is it possible? What are my options ? Am I able to appeal? Or can I try to go through the consular process in my country? I am so lost and disappointed.

Until we know the reason it's impossible to answer that.

Rejected package could take anything between 2 to 4 weeks (from when it was received) to get sent back. Lockbox recommends waiting 30 days before emailing.
Sorry for stressing out and prematurely posting. Turns out my cashier's check was cashed on the 10th of July (I do not know why the bank representative told me it has not been cashed when I contacted them on the 11th of July). I received my NOA today. USCIS agent told me my biometrics appointment has not been scheduled yet. I will contact USCIS again in a few days and try to reschedule my biometrics appointment.

No worries, understood.

As said, until we see the denial letter we cannot say, but were you aware of any potential issues (were you ever out of status, for example)? Did you do early filing ?As you don’t seem to have any previous posts here there is nothing for us to go on.

Good morning! My case was recently updated (July 14th) to 'Approved' on the USCIS Status Online, notifying me that my I-485 Adjustment of Status was approved and a notice of approval would be sent to me. Does that technically mean I've been granted permanent residency? Secondly, is it possible to travel out of country even if I haven't physically received my green card yet? I have travel booked for towards the end of August and I'm not sure if I'd have it by then. Thank you!

1. Yes, it does.
2. Yes you could, but without the GC, you will not be able to return. Unless you have the temporary I-551 stamp on your passport. Anyway, I see no reason as to why you wouldn't have received the physical GC by the end of August, unless of course it gets lost in the mail.

Hello, my CN is 2025AF55***. Can I send my AOS packet now, or should I wait till August? Thank you!!
Yes you could send the package now, or wait until August, it is your call. Take a look at the FAQ tab of the AOS process spreadsheet to learn more about early filing.

Hi @Sm1smom,

I'm back again. Dublin has not scheduled me and no idea why. So I'm going to start the AOS process ASAP and get it done. I'm going to send the money order today, can I use any shipping to get it there ASAP? i.e USPS priority or FedEx overnight shipping?

With that said, should I aim to submit 1st of August when I become current or should I do early filing? Assuming at this point I will be sending without receipt of payment. Or do you recommend waiting for receipt of payment before filing at all, even if it means filing mid-August?

Thank you.

1. Yes you can use any shipping preference. Be sure to also include a SASE for returning the payment receipt back to you.
2. You may go ahead and file now, (utilizing the early filing option and without the payment receipt included), or you can wait until the month your CN becomes current. It really is your call, depending on how risk averse you are.

Please go through the FAQ tab of the AOS Process spreadsheet to help you better understand about early filing, or filing without the administrative fee payment receipt in the AOS package.

Thanks for the reply.

So talking to some people in the Telegram group the advice they've given is to at least try to give KCC a chance to reply to ensure I've not been scheduled and to figure out if they've assigned me the wrong embassy or something weird is going on because there really is no explanation as to why I would not be scheduled.

My plan for now maybe is to go get medicals done here already to have that ready for the package next week. Then send the fee next week after the KCC has either replied or not replied or replied with an unsatisfactory answer. Then basically send the package (without fee) by end of next week - say Friday 25th to arrive Monday 28th. But that begs the question, is it worth even filing early if it's only gaining a couple of days due to the risk of rejection?

Can you resubmit the package immediately upon rejection - i.e just make another package and not wait for the original package to come back before submitting another one on August 1st?

What would be the point of sending in the AOS package without including the applicable filing fee? You don't gain anything if you send in AOS package without the filing fee. That is a guaranteed package rejection.

Hi folks, my number got current in August (EU21XXX) and I submitted my AOS on June 18, completed my biometrics on July 3rd, and today (July 18) received an interview letter from Oakland Park, FL field office for September 4. I was very surprised to have my Interview date that late given biometrics was completed way in advance (July 3rd).

I know in the past some (such as FY2023) early-September interviews were jeopardized due to the visa exhaustion. Does this year pose a similar visa exhaustion risk for a September 4 interview? Has anyone tried rescheduling interview to an earlier date citing visa exhaustion concerns?

P.S: will add my case details once I get access to spreadhseet
