DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hard to tell since we have no idea as to what is being reviewed. Could be done with in the next couple of hours/days, or could take several weeks.

p.s. can you update your case progress on the Timeline spreadsheet?
I think its just the adjustments to the "Arrival section" with the updated I-94 details since that was the only thing that changed, so fingers crossed its just a few days.

I will request access as I couldn't update for some reason. Thanks!

The review may or may not have to do with the I-94 details. It could be that the IO that interviewed you does not have the authorization to approve cases on their own and do require their supervisor to review the case/their decision. It could be that your background check clearance is pending. It could be that the IO just wanted to do a 2nd overall review on their own. We have no way of knowing.

Hi, How soon can i contact Virtual Agents/ EMMA afyer getting the text notification that my package was received ? I got a text from USCIS on jun 23 mentioning that my package was received.

Hi,
1. How do I know if the interview get waived?
2. Do they send interview waived notice instead of interview schedule?
3. Does Emma usually know in advance before I receive mail?

I updated the tracker with my timeline. My DV AOS package was receipted by USCIS on April 30. I did the biometrics and was notified to attend an interview (scheduled for July 2). At the end of May, I moved to another address within the same city. I immediately updated my address with USCIS using the online portal. The address change is confirmed since I got the interview notice at my new address.

1. Do I need to do anything further proactively at the interview regarding my address change?

2. I will bring updated evidence regarding my F-1 status (i.e., confirmation letter from registrar's office and transcript showing registration for fall 2025 semester) and updated evidence for I-134 (i.e., sponsor's pay slips for past 2 months and his 2024 tax return transcript since it wasn't available at the time of my AOS application). Anything else in terms of updated evidence to bring? (Other than of course all the original documents supporting my submission).

Hello
Am trying to help a friend fill out I-485 and we are stuck what options and what supporting documents to provide for Affidavit of support. Does not qualify the 40 credits and an asylee applicant.

1. It wouldn’t hurt to discuss and confirm the address change with your IO.

2. If you’ve already reviewed the Interview Tips tab of the AOS process spreadsheet and are already familiar with the recommended list, you should take along any other documentation you can think of that could be helpful to your specific case/situation.

I've recently paid the DV AOS fee and got the receipt in a SASE. However, I haven't received the 2NL. I'm thinking this is because the e-mail address I used when entering the lottery has been decommissioned back in January as my school abruptly changed its policy and decommissioned all alumni e-mail addresses. I've sent the following email to KCC:

To whom it may concern,

I intend to file for Adjustment of Status based on DV selection in DV2025. I recently paid the $330 filing fee and received the receipt (attached). However, I have not received the 2NL from KCC. This is likely because when I entered the DV lottery, I used my school e-mail address (xxxx@xxx.edu), but my school abruptly decommissioned all alumni e-mail addresses in January. So that email address is no longer a valid one. I would be glad if you could please update my email address on file to this one (xxxx@yahoo.com) for all further communication and send me the 2NL acknowledging that KCC is aware of my intentions to file for AOS. Thank you! Below are my information:

First Name: XXXX
Last Name: XXXX
DV case number: 2025EU00026XXX
Date of Birth: XX/XX/XXXX

KCC just responded me with two separate emails (attached). I don't think either of those e-mails is 2NL. Do you have any advice in terms of how to proceed? Note that I have not filled out the DS-260.

Hi everyone, quick question about the recent I-693 validity rules. I'm hoping Mom or someone can help clarify things.

I saw the USCIS alert, and I want to double-check my situation.
USCIS Changes Validity Period for Any Form I-693 Signed on or after Nov. 1, 2023 (This forum doesn't let me include the link.)

I got my I-693 medical exam done in June 2024, and it has never been submitted to USCIS.
I'm planning to file my I-485 in September 2025, which is about 15 months after the exam was signed.

Is my June 2024 I-693 still valid and can be submitted with my I-485 in September 2025?

Thanks in advance. I just want to be completely sure before relying on this medical.

KCC has no idea of what a 2NL is, especially as related to AOS. That is just a terminology we use in this forum, so emailing and asking KCC for your 2NL always results in a convoluted response from them. The 2NL is basically KCC’s acknowledgment of your plan to process AOS, so the screenshot of second email will suffice for that.

Your signed medical report is on an outdated/expired form, it is therefore no longer considered valid and will subsequently get rejected if filed as is.

Starting July 2, 2025, USCIS will only accept form I-693 with the 01/20/2025. Check the bottom section of your form to see the edition date.

Hi MOM,

Thanks for the fast response. If this is the case, I definitely wouldn't file it as is. What are the options I have to make this right?

Thank you for the quick response. Would you recommend me to include the full correspondence (including my inquiry) in the AOS package or just the second e-mail from KCC?

Hello! i am confused on how to fill out part 4 of the form I-485 - Employment and Education History.

Looking at the Arya Stark sample I-485 below:

1) If I'm filling out info about employment, is the first box (school or employer) and the 2nd box (Name of the employer) supposed to be filled out as:

a) just write - "employer" (1ST box) ---- "abc business name"(2ND box)
or
b) 'abc business name"(1st box) ---- "abc business name" again (2nd box)

In my case, I was employed by a company, so there is no specific subdivision as in the sample below.

Please let me know any other correct way to fill it out, thank you

Hi @Sm1smom,

I live in Texas and I'll send my AOS package to Dallas. When I check the FO on USCIS website with my zip code, it shows Oklahoma. Does it mean that, after the Dallas Lockbox processes my AOS package, they'll send it to Oklahoma (or Oklahoma FO will take my case after that point)?
