DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hi everyone,

Following up on this. The mail did not show and it’s now been a week. Whenever USPS says it’s expected today and it does not show on that day, I never received it in the past. Should I do anything regarding this?
You should follow up with the post office.

You should follow up with the post office.
Can I somehow find out through EMMA what the mail was and have them resend it?

Our post office and USPS in this region is completely ignorant of any issues, this is not the first time mail went missing unfortunately but I will try.

Yeah, you can contact Emma to find out what was sent. If it is your bio notice, it will not be resent since you’ve already completed the bio anyways.

Is your name posted on your mailbox? It’s not unusual for USPS to return USCIS correspondence back to sender as undeliverable if recipient’s name is not listed on the mailbox.

And if you’ve been having consistent issues of mail not being delivered after it already showed up in your Informed delivery as incoming mail (as against mail getting stolen, hence the missing mail), then you really need to follow up with USPS, as against giving up while adopting the attitude of the USPS in your region being ignorant of issues. You can always escalate issues to the post master general level just so you know.

Yes names in the mailbox. It’s not very frequent, but one other USCIS notice went missing some time ago. I had it in my account anyway so decided to not get bugged with it.

With „as against mail getting stolen“, do you mean the mail has likely been stolen or not?

I will work on both of your suggestions. Thank you very much.

Do read my response within the context in which it was written, I’m sure you’re aware people’s mail get stolen. So I’m not specifically saying yours got stolen.

Dears

I kindly suggest including DV Tracker - Unique Situations Spreadsheet in AOS Process Spreadsheet . it being on separated sheet makes it forgotten sometime while it is very important part of this forum . thank you

Hi all,

Can a concern over continuity of someone's status (humanitarian parole) due to potential changes introduced by the new administration serve as a valid reason to do a congressional inquiry rather early, explaining all of this? Or at least calling and requesting INFOPASS?

I haven't received my bio letter itself until like 3 and a half weeks after the lockbox delivery date. I've called agent at some point using infopass, it was not scheduled yet. I chatted with Emma couple days later and I was able to get the date for my appointment which was 3 weeks in the future. I immediately rescheduled it for the next day and printed the notice in USCIS online account.

Interestingly, when you reschedule it asks you for a reason. Not sure if anyone ever looks at it, but I said "DV Timeline".
I only found out the biometric date through Emma (December 3), but I rescheduled it for November 21 (in 3 days). I haven't received the original letter yet. The instructions say this:

Will it be a problem if I don't have time to receive the original letter?

Idk. I find it weird to get a marriage related RFE since it's the dv lottery program. Can't you as well take the green card through family based AOS?
its common to be asked to show proof of relationship if marriage takes place after selection.
It makes absolutely no sense to go the family based route if you can do DV. Not only will you still need to show all the relationship proof, it takes about 3 years longer, requires an i864 and the fees are higher.

I saw others recommend to have it. I didn't have it. Nobody asked for it. I can't imagine why would they ask for it as the one you print from the website (i hope you did) after rescheduling the appointment looks exactly the same.

I took the original one with me. I rescheduled too. And when I showed it to them they were like, yeah cool no one cares.
