Is Detroit your FO?Hello mom,
1. Do you have an idea what this means? How can I be scheduled for an interview and be rejected before attending the interview?
2. What do you think I should do now?
Thanks

Is Detroit your FO?
If it is the Detroit FO, that means they initially scheduled the interview, but upon review of your application, subsequently denied it (maybe because you did early filing). By the way, you have Grand Rapids, MI listed as your FO on the Timeline spreadsheet.
It’s so weird, man! Same FO (Detroit) — they denied my I-485 last Thursday (09/11) for early filing (filed in July, became current in September). I’m pretty sure the same thing happened to you. So sorry
Let me correct my FOIf it is the Detroit FO, that means they initially scheduled the interview, but but upon review of your application, subsequently denied it (maybe because you did early filing). By the way, you have Grand Rapids, MI listed as your FO on the Timeline spreadsheet.
What did you do? That is weird because we are allowed to do early filling. It’s so weird, man! Same FO (Detroit) — they denied my I-485 last Thursday (09/11) for early filing (filed in July, became current in September). I’m pretty sure the same thing happened to you. So sorry
Technically, it is allowed. However, the AOS process spreadsheet did call out the fact that some FOs still deny cases due to early filing. And I did ask you in this post back in July to make sure you understand the risks associated with early filing before sending in your AOS package. What did you do? That is weird because we are allowed to do early filling.
Unfortunately, AFAIK there’s no other option for you regarding your DV selection if the NOID says the reason for the denial is due to your being out of status. So sorry about the outcome.Hi Mom, I have received Notice of intent to deny because I became out of status in July this year (TPS termination) while now I have only asylum pending.
I greatly appreciate about your input regarding the attached response USCIS, is there any option left for me. Thank you.
Sorry to hear this. Hopefully your asylum case works out.Hi Mom, I have received Notice of intent to deny because I became out of status in July this year (TPS termination) while now I have only asylum pending.

S.T.O.P. using ChatGPT to prepare for your interview!Hey! When my father applied for asylum, he include me. But on may i was selected for dv, in july get married, so after marriage i was not qualified for this case, but i received on November notice for interview. My lawyer send some letters or form for stop the process as i no more qualify for this case.
What should i answer for question like this ?
1 - Have you ever had an immigration application or petition denied by USCIS or the Department of State?
Should i say yes and explain the situation? Because on time of filing 485 was different information than now.
- Have you ever applied for asylum in the United States or in another country?
Should i say yes or no? Because this is my father applied, i was like a derivative.
- How to correctly explain my military courses in university during 2 years once a week. It wasn’t army or military work or something like that. It was like a mathematics or foreign language or history, same thing, but about military
Maybe i explain bad, because of my english. I father already had a green card asylum when i received invitation for interview. I called my lawyer and she informed them that i no more qualify for this case. I didn’t go to the interview. If i look to this case now, it shows “case denied “S.T.O.P. using ChatGPT to prepare for your interview!
Based on my understanding, you did not file an asylum application with USCIS to start with (based on your above explanation), your father filed for asylum and listed you as his derivative. So there was nothing for you to withdraw, however your father was supposed to amend his filing removing you as a derivative after you got married. Anyway, you can always explain the situation to your IO when you go in for your interview and they can decide on if the current response to the question should be a YES or a NO.
Ok. Seeing as I don't quite understand/know the actual details surrounding your asylum application and based on what you've reported seeing online, looks like you had an denied asylum application and should update your response to the "Have you ever applied for asylum in the United States or in another country?" question to YES.Maybe i explain bad, because of my english. As a part of a greater eligibility determination, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) conducts background and security checks on applicants and certain petitioners for immigration benefits. These checks are necessary to ensure United States national security and public safety interests. In some cases, the results of these checks require USCIS to perform additional inquiries or consult with other government agencies. When this is necessary, there is often some delay in resolving the checks, and it is difficult to predict when resolution will be completed. Please be assured that this case has not been overlooked. Once all checks are resolved, the application will be adjudicated and your constituent will be notified of the decision.
1. Yes that is what the response means. So we got this reply back from the congressional inquiry:
1. So this entails that our background check has not cleared, right?
2. Is there anything we can do about this?
3. Can we request an expedited background check or something?
4. I have seen in previous years one person couldn't get a background check cause of their fingerprints with their skin condition so they got some check done by their state or something, can we do something like that?
Thank you
